At first, it smells like Olympea Solar—that creamy, springtime citrus—but then you realise it has nothing to do with the usual VIP Rosé.
First impressions after trying it today in store: It doesn’t resemble the original VIP Rosé I have at all. For me this is a perfume with a peach milk as the protagonist. In the opening it’s zesty, sweet, and fruity; in the dry-down it’s tremendously lactonic and slightly musky. I don’t notice the coffee and the patchouli barely either. A pleasant scent that may recall other fruity ones with that creamy milk point, like Fame, though this CH is much denser and lactonic, so they share aspects but aren’t that similar. It’s feminine, youthful, and daytime. That said, suitable only for non-diabetics and, although I see it for spring/summer, I wouldn’t wear it on very hot days. It has lasted on my skin about 5 hours with moderate/low projection. A simple scent, quite linear but pleasant. It adds nothing new.
I like it more in the opening than in the dry-down; when I spray it I feel the bergamot and the musk, then the apricot timidly appears. Half an hour later comes the dry-down: basically jasmine with quite a bit of musk. I never sense the milk, the patchouli, or the coffee. It’s a pleasant scent that promises more in the opening than it delivers. Performance of an EDT, at most four hours, with almost no sillage; a lovely spring-summer cologne, not very sweet, not very citrusy, quite fresh and floral. Perhaps it will mellow and mature with time; for now I like it but its longevity seems very scarce for the price. It also adds nothing special to perfumery; it’s a rich scent without complications, to enjoy on a summer day and pass without fuss or glory. Next year I doubt anyone will remember it.
Whoever says it smells like a milkshake is lying, and I understand scents are subjective, but there are real things: THERE IS NO MILKSHAKE HERE. It’s a cloying scent, far too common, which you can get in any pharmacy body mist. That said, the bottle is pretty, good quality, heavy, and gives the only plus for which I might (and very much under the influence) buy it as a gift for an easily impressed teenager.
This perfume is an interesting blend between Cacharel’s Yes I Am Glorious and Narciso Rodríguez’s Pure Musc. It has a super lactonic opening; the first thing I thought of was a strawberry milkshake. But then that fruity note turns into the velvety sensation of a teenager. There I find its similarity to Yes I Am Glorious: milk, peach skin, and fruity sweetness. I thought of the milky smell of Tic-Tacs in the box or the white, sweet smell of Trident gum. Of course, 212 VIP Rosé I Love NY is much more musky than Glorious and not tropical. It’s more musky than lactonic. On skin, after the milky opening, a white, fluffy musk appears, very clean, and an airy, clear jasmine. Those are the notes that last until the end. This combination (teenish, milk, jasmine, and musk) makes it a perfume full of sweet lactones and very white. I think the bottle represents the scent well. It seems very current (clean musks and ethereal milks) and many will like it. I liked it immensely. It doesn’t have much projection, but it makes you feel clean and put-together. Average longevity, like all 212s. Definitely for the day or weekends. It doesn’t tire the nose. Very pretty.
It’s an interesting blend between Cacharel’s Yes I Am Glorious and Narciso Rodríguez’s Pure Musc. The opening is super milky; I thought of a strawberry milkshake. For a moment, I knew Carolina Herrera wanted to create her own Cry Baby by Melanie Martínez, but then that fruity note turns velvety and a bit kitschy. That’s when I see the similarity with Glorious: milk, peach skin, and sweetness. It smells like Tic-Tacs in the box or white Trident gum. It’s much more musky than Glorious and less tropical. On the skin, after that milky opening, a white, fluffy musk appears, very clean, alongside an airy jasmine that lasts until the end. It’s a combination of kitsch, milk, jasmine, and musk, full of sweet lactones and very white. The bottle fits the scent perfectly. It seems very current, with those clean musks and ethereal milks that many people love. I loved it. It doesn’t have much projection, but it makes you feel clean and put-together. Medium longevity, like all 212s. Ideal for the day or weekends; it’s not tiring and very pretty.
Hello, I just tried it. At first, it reminded me of the 212 Heroes women’s fragrance, then it shifted to smelling like Olympea Solar. Although the previous ones didn’t convince me, this I❤️NY is the perfect blend. I adore it, only it’s hard to get hold of afterwards.
I liked the perfume. The longevity is over 24 hours; you wake up and it still smells, though every skin is a world; in my case, the fixation is very good. It seems like a good everyday perfume, cheerful and different; the fruit and flower blend is quite zesty. It’s clear it’s not niche, but among commercial scents it’s one of the best of recent months, as we’ve been in a bit of a slump. As always, every skin is a world; sometimes one is surprised by comments; what smells divine to me might smell brash or horrible to another; it’s the magic of perfume and skin pH. That’s why always test and sniff, as every skin is a world.

Red berries and musk. Nothing new.
Hello… I just tried it. At first it reminded me of 212 Heroes for women, then of Olympea Solar. While the previous ones didn’t convince me, the I❤️NY is the perfect blend. I love it, pity that you can’t get more afterwards.
This perfume confirms what I suspected: what a brand like Puig does with three such big houses. This new 212 VIP Rosé I ❤ NY is delicious but brings nothing new, merely recycling their best-selling fragrances. Naturally, it resembles VIP Rosé, which is itself a flanker of 212; quite a puzzle. It opens with an intense musk that includes part of the old Rosé’s DNA, minus the champagne note that made it more energetic. Gradually it takes on a very creamy, lactonic sweetness that reminds me… oh dear! of So Scandal, but without the gummy nard (which I actually like). This initial phase lasts an hour or more, and the dry-down is very similar to Olympea Solar (I prefer the latter). In short, another unnecessary flanker (not for the brands) because they flood the shops with thousands and eventually manage to sell them. I’m not against it; I enjoy mainstream fragrances very much, but originality and the times of the 80s and 90s are missed, when a launch was a huge event with beautiful campaigns, original bottles, and punchy fragrances, now sadly neutered by IFRA. This will undoubtedly make the beaus of many young people, but let’s be clear: nothing new under the sun. Decent performance for those interested.
I confirm what I suspected: Puig keeps recycling their hits. This new 212 VIP Rosé I ❤ NY is delicious but adds nothing new; it’s just more of the same custard we already know. It opens with a strong musk reminiscent of the old Rosé, loses the champagne energy, and turns sweet and milky, like a So Scandal without those nard notes I love so much. The dry-down is very similar to Olympea Solar, though I prefer that one. In short, another flanker to flood the shops and sell, lacking the originality of the 80s and 90s that we miss so much. Young people will love it, but under the sun, it’s nothing new. Decent performance.
I had high expectations, and a single spray was enough to bring me down from the clouds. The opening reminded me of a freshly baked vanilla biscuit, and as it dries, it smells slightly of very sweet coffee with milk. It’s very milky and sweet. It gave me a headache five minutes after applying it just to my wrist. It has a vibe similar to CH’s Good Girl but doesn’t match it. If you like very cloying, strong, and milky perfumes, this is for you. I wouldn’t stand it for daily wear, and even less in summer; perhaps for a night out in very cold weather, but not regularly.
I was really keen to try it and with just one spray I was in the clouds. At first it smells of freshly baked vanilla biscuit, then very sweet milky coffee; it’s super lactonic and cloying. It gave me a headache after just five minutes on my wrist. It has something of Good Girl by CH but doesn’t quite reach its level. If you like very sweet and strong perfumes, this is for you. I wouldn’t wear it for everyday use, especially not in summer; perhaps for a very cold night, but not often.
I tried the perfume and it lasted more than 24 hours; of course, it depends on everyone’s skin, but honestly, I love it.
I’ve smelled it like mango in its opening. Then like coffee with milk. I dislike the mango; it couldn’t please me. I was drawn to how milky it was described…
I like it, it’s sexy. Perfect for going out at night, I wouldn’t use it during the day. I would use it in summer, but more in winter because it’s heavy, yet I do think it’s citrusy. It’s very sexy, not heavy actually. I smell it and it’s like “today we’re going out to the street”. For a mature, coquettish, and playful woman (just for going to the disco) and/or a young, bold woman who wants to make an impression. If it’s something I’ve heard before, it reminds me quite a bit of Olympea, just a bit spicier and fresher. It’s very pleasant; I’m not sure if I’d buy it, but I feel it’s one of those perfumes that on me would be a bomb, ones where many tell you “you smell so good”, but without being something different or exotic, just sexy and seductive. It smells like young wood and sparkling.
On my skin, the fruity notes stand out, followed by some light floral accords. I find it super subtle, sweet but not cloying. I see it for the day; it doesn’t have much trail and is very personal, just right for informal office work. I don’t see it for evening or formal occasions. Ideal for summer and spring.
On my skin, the fruity part stands out mainly, followed by some light floral accords. I find it super subtle, sweet, but nothing cloying. I see it for daytime; it doesn’t have much sillage, it’s a very personal perfume, so I see it as just right for office work. It’s informal; I don’t see it for evening or formal occasions. Ideal for summer and spring.
I love the 212 bottles, and that little white bottle was smiling at me to buy it, however, I wanted to test it first and luckily I did. It’s a rich scent, I can’t deny that, but it smells very similar to the 212s and the CH Queen I have (which is discontinued). Its opening is acidic due to the fruits and then centres on a patchouli (which I’m not much of a fan of) and pure musk. It resembles Fame a bit… I didn’t feel the coffee or the milky notes on my skin, so I have to say goodbye.
It was love at first sniff… although it disappointed me a bit. Let’s go step by step: as soon as I smelled it in the perfumery, I fell in love with its scent and presentation. It stayed stuck on my wishlist, and when I returned to buy it, I was torn between this and 212 Forever Young (many compare them, but I found no common points) and decided on the 212 VIP Rosé Love NY for its bottle and coffee and milk notes (which bear no resemblance to what I already have). The first disappointment was getting home: my husband didn’t like it much and still doesn’t. Second disappointment: a student told me it was “very sweet” and I felt it was suffocating. That’s when I realised it’s a strong perfume, not soft as many reviews suggest. In fact, freshly applied, I feel its notes give a certain tickle to my nose and throat. In general, at first it’s rich but invasive, cloying, and shrill to the point of being annoying. Within the first half-hour, everything is covered by the patchouli and musk. Only after that initial hour does that brilliance fade to give way to the tacky and its milky notes. Then it becomes more bearable and soapy, with less projection. That’s when I like it, because wearing it makes me feel like I’m in front of a peach cake sweetened with cream and a coffee barely cut with frothed milk (though both notes are very soft). It becomes moderately gourmand and quite floral towards the end. Anyway, I use it seasonally and in winter. I avoid wearing it in the morning and prefer to apply it at night or at parties, taking care with the sprays. Conclusion: I remain in love with it, but it’s a love that must work day in, day out to keep me conquered. I love its bottle and the fact that it’s part of my collection, but now I’m giving it a break. Advice: don’t buy blindly and try it first to see how it behaves on each skin. In my favour: I feel it doesn’t resemble any I’ve tried, and that attracts me.
Neither here nor there, unfortunately. I expected a peach cake with lots of cream, vanilla, and coffee. Instead, I found a very talc-y, floral, musky, and clean aroma. A real disappointment, luckily I could just try it. The peach, coffee, and milk don’t exist; on my skin, the musk stands out a lot. The good thing is it has great longevity; it lasted three days on me. When dry, it reminds me of Zara’s Red Temptation and its clones: it’s rich but doesn’t drive me crazy enough to buy it right now. Obviously, the 212 line isn’t for me; it’s a very simple and nothing-new scent. Scent 5/10, Longevity 10/10, Sillage 10/10, Packaging 7/10, Versatility 8/10, Value for Money 9/10. Would I buy it? NO.
The 212 VIP Rosé Love NY by Carolina Herrera is a marvel, offering an original and very appealing composition. The patchouli, musk, and jasmine notes stand out, with milky hints that add creaminess and coffee touches that bring elegance. With very good performance, it’s an excellent designer option for women. It’s a scent anyone can wear and will attract compliments and glances constantly.
I still can’t quite figure it out. I’ll come back to it later.
I’m reviewing it again because I want to share that, even though I know there are no pheromones, I find this perfume to have an extremely sexual and erotic edge. I’m not sure if it’s the milky note, the creamy musk, or something else, but I feel it’s an organic scent that seduces too much. I find it warm and cosy. I hope no one takes offence, but I detect something similar to Cmen. Truly, that makes it sensual and exquisite. Ideal for a date or an intimate encounter. PS: My husband still doesn’t like it at all, but it drives me crazy. What perfume could I layer it with? Has anyone tried mixing it? Please reply because it’s new and I don’t want to throw it away. I want to enjoy it even if I have to combine it. Thanks.
I feel this is the sweeter, milkier version of 212 Heroes Rose. This one smells more potent and sweet, whereas the other is fruitier and spicier.
