Absolute by Exclusive by Avon

I’m looking for something that stays alive and is very similar to this, which is a pity as it’s no longer sold. It was one of Avon’s best: a delicious sweet scent that dries down to a unique cleanliness unlike any other fragrance. Perfect for special outings, not for the office; it looks great with a black suit or semi-formal attire.

It’s a BBB: good, beautiful, and cheap. The charm is that it blends perfectly with other perfumes, making it ideal for layering lovers. It has good longevity and projection without being cloying. I find it perfect for daily use thanks to its quality, and above all, its excellent price.

Top fragrance; everyone got their descriptions right, only it has a touch that reminds me of CK One Shock and another one I can’t quite name.

Since Natura acquired Avon, their perfumes have improved by 100%. It’s clear they use organic alcohol, and it’s incredible to get an Eau de Toilette for $10 that feels more like an EDP, with very assimilable oud notes. I detect leather, a touch of sweet vanilla and lavender, it’s powdery, with incense notes; very masculine. Women are fascinated by it; some even buy it for their sheets. It lasts up to 8 hours on skin, projects for up to 5, and on clothes, it’s still detectable even after washing. Obviously, it’s not for young people; some find it smells like something for the elderly. In Brazil, it was catalogued as perfume of the year, and in the USA, it’s called the cheap perfume that smells expensive. Don’t buy blindly, as it’s an oriental scent.

I truly appreciate Avon creating fragrances of such high quality at accessible prices. First and foremost, it doesn’t feel synthetic or vulgar to the nose; it feels superior to what we’re usually accustomed to, and I hope they continue down this line. It feels ethereal yet persists beautifully on clothes for days; on skin, it depends on the type, lasting up to six hours, which is perfect for me as I keep the bottle with me to reapply. For me, it’s a delight. I highly recommend it to everyone as it’s an aroma that’s very easy to please, and given its quality and how it develops, it’s hard to offend anyone. For the love of God, buy it before they discontinue it.

Avon Masterpiece. I am completely surprised by this fragrance; very rarely have I allowed an Avon perfume into my collection, not because it’s budget-friendly or from the catalogue, but because many perfumeries selling via this channel create designer-inspired colognes at low cost for those who can’t spend more, and I prefer something more original in terms of scent. The first thing that caught my attention was the claim that it contains oud as a main note; I consider myself a passionate oud lover and decided to get a bottle. What a pleasant surprise! The oud note is present from start to finish: a woody, medicinal, balsamic oud. Yes, it’s synthetic, but most designer perfumes with oud notes share that quality, so for $14, we shouldn’t ask for more. On the opening, you can feel the freshness of lemon, but that sensation lasts only a few seconds before dissipating quickly, revealing spicy, ambered, woody notes with a very pleasant balsamic dry-down. It feels slightly alcoholic, evoking a sense of alcoholic beverage, like cognac. Although few notes are described, a very pleasant cinnamon note is perceptible, generating sensuality and romance. After three hours, I could perceive a leather note—not animal leather, but a soft leather that, combined with the oud, feels medicinal, ambered, and sophisticated. In this facet, there are certain similarities with Natura’s Essential Oud; indeed, there are common notes, however, Essential Oud is sweeter, less versatile, and spicier, so while there are similarities, there are also differences, and in the dry-down, these two fragrances take different paths. Now, if you are just starting to explore the world of oud, both Absolute and Essential are excellent options to familiarise yourself with this note. Therefore, in my opinion, if you like Natura’s Essential Oud, you will like this fragrance; it’s like a more versatile and less spicy version. And if you don’t know Essential Oud and have liked this fragrance, I invite you to try it; you won’t regret it. In summary, this fragrance seems excellent to me, pleasant, with a projection of an hour and a half, skin longevity around eight hours, and it lasts a bit longer on clothes. The trail is moderate, though in temperatures above 40 degrees, if over-applied, it can become invasive. The halo it produces is very noticeable, easily perceived by people around you. For price/quality, I give it 10; for originality, 9.

I haven’t tried this Avon creation; rather, the one I have tried is the Absolute by Sensus from Avon, and it is extraordinary. We have indeed proven that not everything from this house is good or bad, but this Absolute by Sensus is literally a masterpiece: a refined scent that asks for nothing compared to Armani, Chanel, Dior, or whatever. It’s a robust, strong, pleasant, and refined aroma, and for its price, it’s a genuine gem. It’s a high-quality scent with generous performance. Scent: 9.0, Projection: 7.0, Longevity: 8.0.

Leonardo da Vincho and Allan 27880, I agree with both; apparently it’s a matter of marketing in each region, but it’s also true that the declared notes don’t match. However, I own the Sensus Absolute, and I must say, it’s an excellent fragrance that smells refined, and its performance on clothes is much better than on skin. I greatly like the aroma; I feel it’s ideal for cold climates. It has earned me compliments, and when people asked what scent I was wearing, they couldn’t believe it was an Avon product. Obviously, proposals have emerged that, without being designer or prestigious, have surprised us all. Personally, this Sensus Absolute and Avon’s Black Suede Intense are among the best I’ve tried in recent times, and given their price, it’s well worth owning two of each.
