  • I tried it once, and if it weren’t for the high price of the brand, I would have bought it right there. It smells of flowers, spices, and wood; it’s very feminine and exudes maturity, but not the maturity of age, but of a young girl. It’s one of the most luminous fragrances I’ve ever smelled; it smells like a princess. I wish I could afford it.

  • What a beautiful perfume. It smells great. I’m not a floral person at all and this has won me over. If I were to get married right now, I’d buy it straight away for my wedding day. It has the most luminous and elegant citrus opening I’ve ever tried. As it dries down, a super-fine woody iris emerges that doesn’t take away from the orange blossom but gives it a sophisticated touch. The dry-down is lovely: a non-grating musk with a fresh amber, nothing creamy. It’s light in a bottle. I’m in love. I’ll have to save up to get my first floral that I’ve loved so much.

  • I bought the house’s discovery set and have to say I tried five perfumes, with three leaving me indifferent, even disappointed, because I found nothing special or good performance. But with Amyris femme I was pleasantly surprised; it wasn’t one of the ones that caught my attention the most. To start with, I enjoyed this fragrance for almost eight hours; I got a burst of scent every few minutes. The performance of other fragrances from the house disappointed me, but not here. It’s a very feminine scent, for a mature and sophisticated woman. Putting it on, I felt beautiful, feminine, and delicate all morning: tender, but not childish, a tender mature woman. Perfumes provoke sensations, and that’s how I felt. What stood out most was the floral and iris part; shortly after I felt it was powdery, but not baby powder, rather feminine and modern, not vintage. Said that way, I’m not doing it justice; it’s not just another floral, it’s really special. Its performance left me satisfied. Although I expect a luxury perfume to last more than eight hours, it seems acceptable if it lasts seven or eight, not just on the skin, but at least a personal trail. I put it on at 7am (6 sprays): for the first two hours it had moderate projection; someone sitting next to me could perceive it; my colleague, who is very close, noticed it and asked me about it (about an hour and a half later). Then it moved to a very soft, personal projection, but if someone got too close, they could smell it. The good thing is that, although it becomes a personal trail, it’s not skin-deep; I didn’t have to bring my nose close to my skin to enjoy it (3 sprays on the neck, 1 on the chest, and 2 on the elbows). All the time there was that sophisticated, feminine, powdery burst of scent. Watch out, don’t let those who fear the word ‘powdery’ be alarmed: it’s not the Chanel No. 5 or vintage type, it’s a youthful and modern powder. I’m very happy with the sample. Although I liked it a lot, I still don’t know if I’d go for buying it because a 30ml bottle costs 95 euros; perhaps I could find something that evokes the same sensation for the same price but in a larger format, as it’s very versatile for everyday wear and 30ml wouldn’t last long. It stays in my mind that I liked it a lot and if I never find something identical, maybe I’ll be inspired to buy it. It’s a perfume I do recommend and I believe it justifies its price: if it changes your mood, makes you feel pretty and put-together, and besides it lasts and projects, the money isn’t wasted. Everyone must try it, because olfactory profiles, tastes, and pH levels differ. You can get the sample set on the official website.

It’s my new favourite scent; I want to wear it every day. It’s a well-balanced, elegant smell, like a sweet woman with character. It’s warm; you feel like it’s embracing you all day.

  • Essens has launched the BLANC collection featuring the original essences of seven Maison Francis Kurkjian perfumes, and Amyris femme is one of them, as well as one of my favourites. The price is very affordable.

  • The opening was a disappointment: it smelled like grandma’s perfume mixed with lemon dish soap. But after half an hour, everything changed. It became something sweet, floral, and elegant, with moderate projection and about five hours on my skin. Although I enjoy the dry-down, that poor opening makes me wonder if it’s truly worth it.

  • Corchabat

At first, the opening smells like grandma’s perfume and lemon dishwashing liquid, but after half an hour it dries down to a sweet, powdery, elegant and discreet floral with moderate projection. It lasts about five hours on my skin. Although I enjoy the dry-down, that awful opening means it doesn’t quite make the cut.
