If Black Opium had a cuter, more feminine version, it would be Angelic Vanilla. It’s the pinkest, most fun vanilla in the entire Zara collection. I went to try it this afternoon and bought it straight away. I already know Fluidity Gold by FK, and no, they are nothing alike. I love FG, even though it smells like herbal therapy and is very special. Angelic Vanilla is a potent vanilla with an ultra-feminine aroma of pear, coconut and almonds floating on top.
Well, I don’t know if my nose is broken or what, but the case is that this Angelic Vanilla from Zara reminds me quite a bit of the Tobacco Collection Rich Warm Addictive scent from the same brand. Perhaps a feminine version of the aforementioned men’s perfume…
If Black Opium had a cuter, more feminine version, it would be Angelic Vanilla. It’s the pinkest, most fun vanilla in the entire Zara collection. I went to try it this afternoon and bought it straight away. I already know Fluidity Gold by Fragrance World and, no, they have nothing to do with each other. I love FG, even though it smells like herbal therapy and is very special. Angelic Vanilla is a powerful vanilla with an ultra-feminine aroma of pear, coconut, and almonds floating on top.
😐 another invention from Zara that doesn’t quite excite me. It smells good, but I have other perfumes that outdo it a thousand times. It’s not worth it for me.
It’s divine! A delicate and elegant scent. It has a cherry smoothie DNA in the opening, but it’s less brash than Angelic. The rice and tonka bean notes give it a very rich creaminess… but if you DON’T like sweet scents, don’t even bother looking at it! On my skin, it lasts about six hours with moderate projection. Would I buy it again? Yes!
Oh… it smells like Fluidasa syrup to me. Disgustingly repulsive for me. I don’t know if it’s the balsamic note or what… but I hate it. It’s not for me.
It’s divine! A delicate and elegant scent. It has a smoothie cherry vibe at first, but it’s far less shouty than Angelic. The rice and tonka bean notes add a rich creaminess… but if you don’t like sweet scents, don’t even bother! On my skin, it lasts around six hours with moderate projection. Would I buy it again? Absolutely!
It’s an addictive scent. In the top notes, the almond touch is very noticeable, then it evolves into a sweet vanilla, almost gourmand. Those final notes remind me a lot of the Devotion perfume by Dolce & Gabbana. On my skin, I can hardly tell them apart, especially in the final dry-down and the trail, as Angelic Vanilla lacks that citrus touch at the beginning. It lasts quite a while, it’s intense, it’s a good purchase, I like it for everyday wear, but I know I won’t use it in summer, as it feels too warm to me.
Oh no, this scent wasn’t for me. I loved the opening: delicate vanilla and spectacular florals, but then, after a few minutes, it turned into a cherry smoothie 😫. It doesn’t smell bad, but it’s such a brash scent that it smells to me like a truck air freshener. I couldn’t stand it. It’s a league of vanilla, cherries, and cherry smoothie. Just like that…
I bought it blind 😬. Upon arrival, after one spray, I thought it smelled very much like a rose gourmand 🙄… but after a minute, wow! 🤤 it changes completely. It’s very delicate, elegant, a subtle sweetness that doesn’t overwhelm… I loved it and the dry-down is even better 😍. Not so much in the bottle… perfect for this cold weather 🥶. Highly recommended 💯
I bought Angelic Vanilla blind. Once it arrived home, after two sprays, I recognised it: it smells like Dior’s Devotion, which I love. Today I tested it alongside the tester, and they are quite similar. Since Devotion launched, I’ve been waiting for a Zara dupe; after trying it several times, it’s not the exact dupe but about 70% similar. They aren’t dupes, but if you like one, you’ll likely like the other. PS: At first, it doesn’t resemble it; even it smells like a rose gourmand, but once it dries, that’s when I notice the similarity to Devotion, just a bit more powdery and soft.
I bought Angelic Vanilla a bit blindly, having already tried many perfumes. Once it arrived home and I tested it again, I recognised the scent of something I know and love. After two sprays, I realised it; it seems similar to Dior’s Devotion, a perfume I adore. I happened to have the tester today, and it’s quite alike. I’d been waiting for a Zara dupe ever since it launched. Now, after testing it several times, the truth is it might not be an exact dupe, but it’s about 70% similar. So, they aren’t dupes, but I think if you like one, you’ll like the other. PS: When you first apply it, it doesn’t resemble Devotion at all and even gives off Rose Gourmand vibes, but once it dries, that’s when I noticed the similarity to Devotion, just a bit more powdery and soft.
A floral musk with a sweet, creamy base; delicate and ethereal. Fresh citrus opening with an almond note that becomes soft and powdery due to the rice and myrrh. The rose doesn’t dominate; it adds to a clean, comforting profile that finishes with a warm, honeyed base of vanilla, tonka, and musky, woody notes. It shines for being soft, reassuring, and slightly gourmand without being cloying. It evokes tenderness, hygiene, and a subtle nostalgia. Feels like a caress on the skin: ideal for intimate, relaxed, or almost ritual moments.
It defines itself as a floral musk with a sweet, creamy base that is delicate and ethereal. The opening blends a fresh citrus air with a subtle almond touch, which then softens and becomes powdery thanks to the rice and myrrh. The rose doesn’t dominate; rather, it peeks out shyly, adding to a clean, comforting profile that ends in a warm, honeyed base with vanilla, tonka, and musky, woody hints. This perfume stands out for its soft, reassuring, and slightly gourmand character, without ever becoming cloying. It’s an atmospheric fragrance that evokes tenderness, hygiene, and subtle nostalgia. It feels like a caress on the skin: perfect for intimate, relaxed, or almost ritualistic moments.
Smells like a gourmand rose at first, but once it dries, it turns into a synthetic cherry smoothie—a fatal mix in my opinion.
