This is the one I liked the least. It’s as if Prada’s Infusion d’Amande had talc and very soft vanilla added to it. In the end, the Prada version remains the better choice.
Charming, cheerful and powerful at first, a blend of lavender and vanilla. As it dries down, it becomes more amber with the base notes. Top quality for the price. There are other lovely options out there, but if you’re looking for something budget-friendly, this is the one for you.
It’s very similar to Decadence, allowing for some leeway, but they differ very little… it’s still warm, so I don’t know what to say about the trail and longevity… the first time I tested them in-store, I noticed this lasted many hours, I suppose it eventually causes some olfactory fatigue. I’ve loved it. I plan to buy a large bottle of both this and Hypnotic Vanilla when I can. You must like powdery scents, and I’d say this definitely carries plum and/or saffron… I don’t have the pleasure of knowing the famous Mirra & Tonka, but tested side by side, this and Decadence are surprising how similar they are; the other one is perhaps more powerful and has a note that changes it slightly… Those who miss that Marc Jacobs perfume, listen to me and run for this.
This was the one I liked least from the collection. But it’s more because I don’t enjoy soapy fragrances; to me, it smells like lavender soap. Pleasant, clean, feminine, but not for me, luckily I bought the small version. I can understand why it’s compared to Myrrh and Tonka; there’s that similarity at the bottom, but on me, the floral note stands out too much, and I don’t know if it’s the silk or whatever, giving it that soapy product touch. I don’t understand why it says it’s similar to the exquisite Feve Deliceuse, because there’s nothing alike. Acceptable duration for the price.
It’s very similar to Decadence, save for the distance, but they differ very little… It’s still hot, so I’m not sure what to say about the trail and longevity… The first time I tried them in-store, I noticed this one lasted for hours; I suppose it eventually causes some olfactory fatigue. I’ve loved this one as much as the Hypnotic Vanilla I’m planning to buy in a large bottle when I can. If you miss that Marc Jacobs scent, listen to me and rush to get this. I don’t have the famous Mirra & Tonka, but trying this and Decadence side by side is surprising how similar they are; the other might be more powerful and have a note that changes it slightly… For those missing that perfume, I’d say this definitely carries plum and/or saffron…
My favourite of the four. I find it more complex and reminiscent of a designer fragrance. I already posted a reel on Instagram explaining that I didn’t like it at first, but giving it another chance, I’ve absolutely loved it. It opens herbal, with lavender and a masculine, vintage amber, but as it dries down, it takes a complete turn: lactonic, almond-like and velvety, sweet without being cloying or gourmand. It becomes more unisex and feminine. I detect jasmine with that final vanilla, which here only accompanies. It reminds me of Dior Addict in a soapy version. A delight that has accompanied me for over 8 hours, with a projection of more than 4 hours and compliments wherever I go.
Simply exquisite and very wearable. Sweet and delicate but very present without being heavy. Great projection and longevity. I don’t think it has anything to do with Dior Addict nor Decadence, as these are genuine sweet bombs and this smells and is a different type of vanilla.
It’s the Mirra & Tonka of my childhood friend at Jo Malone, but with less myrrh. They left it perfect as it was. It’s exquisite, with quality ingredients, and lasts a long time on the skin. I’ll be telling you more about this line on YouTube this weekend 😏🥰
I’ve had it for little while and haven’t used it much. The first time, it seemed very masculine when dry; I noticed the resinous and slightly vanilla scent. I put it aside because it didn’t convince me. Today I gave it another chance and immediately a fragrance I liked came to mind, one now in oblivion: Lei by E. Armani, without being a dupe in the slightest. I’m starting to perceive it more powdery and soapy, which I’m liking more, so I’ll continue using it. I think it suits autumn and winter better; here in southern Spain we still have over 30C daily in mid-October, so I don’t want to overdo it by spraying because it overwhelms me. I’ll edit again later if appropriate. To finish: I don’t recommend buying it blindly and I’m unaware of its similarity to Jo M.’s Mirra & Tonka, as I’ve never smelled it. Edit: it has become my favourite Zara vanilla, by far superior to the rest. So much so that, after seeing it disappear for a while, I bought it as soon as it was restocked. I think it’s the most complex perfume in this collection, the only one with niche perfumery hints.
I’m not sure if they’re 100% identical, but if you like Myrrh and Tonka, you’ll find a surprise. It’s a similar concept, though on my skin it has an added soapy facet. Also, it has very good performance (almost better than the original) at a very affordable price. As for the lack of originality… well, as they say… but to Caesar what belongs to Caesar. I don’t rule out buying a bottle.
Incredible what happens to me with Amancio perfumes. As there are so many and they’re packed together, you end up testing twenty different sprays, your pockets get dry, and it’s a right mess; everything fluctuates between ‘I’m fascinated’ and ‘but it smells exactly the same’. Zara suffers the same: between scents that do the trick and generic ones with disappointing phases. Starlight Vanilla enters here. Another grey, another yes but no. I don’t see lavender at all. The first impression isn’t bad, the second is promising (a handful of salted, toasted almonds), but then comes that generic almond note from Natural Honey with body milk and a masculine touch… oh, I’ve lost interest forever. On paper, hours later, there’s a comforting, Christmas-like zombie cacao that doesn’t exist on skin. A rarity with a beautiful name and good notes that ultimately underperforms.
At first, it didn’t remind me of Myrrh & Tonka by Jo Malone, but afterwards I definitely noticed the similarity. Update: I’ve had it for over a year, use it quite a bit, and with two sprays on skin, it easily lasts 12 hours. It has power and stands out on its own.
If it’s true that at first it didn’t remind me of Jo Malone’s Mirra & Tonka, afterwards I did notice it. Update: I’ve had it for over a year now and have used it quite a bit. Easily two sprays on skin last until 12 hours comfortably, and regarding potency, I don’t have to search for the scent; it makes itself known.
Very unisex. Very nice. It’s not at all overwhelming and has a dark, mature sweetness. I have it in 80ml and it seems excessive, but for having a smaller version, it seems like a good option.
Truly unisex and very delicious. Nothing overwhelming; it has a dark, mature sweetness. I have the 80ml version and it seems excessive to me, but for a smaller version, it’s a very good option.
Super delicious and fully unisex. On my skin, the cacao and myrrh are noticeable all day. It’s a spiced oriental style that’s also gourmand; it makes me want to eat it. Ideal for winter and mild temperatures, though I tried it in summer at night and it was a success. One of my favourite Zara scents ❤️. Smells niche and behaves like one.
I’ve been wearing this for a year and it’s an absolute beast: incredibly delicious, lasts all day, and is spectacular for cold days or evenings. I adore it.
