Since 2002, when I was just 15, this perfume made me feel incredibly feminine and put-together. I can’t quite recall the exact scent, but I remember it being feminine, powdery, woody, tender, with excellent sillage and longevity. I bought only one bottle before it was discontinued; my mum still has her bottle of talc. According to Fragrantica, it resembles another Avon liquid in a pale green bottle (Women of Heart), but I know both and they are nothing alike: that other one smelled very fresh and mentholated, like Ricolino Chocoretas from Mexico. I suspect it was this one (Prowl) that led me to seek out floral-woody-musk fragrances to this day, as many of my favourites since then fall into this family 😅. My current favourite from this family is Coach Floral; they aren’t identical, but it feels very much in the same style. Both have citrus, florals, sandalwood, and patchouli, and I perceive both as feminine, tender, powdery, woody, and slightly sexy, though I prefer Coach Floral.

This perfume was an absolute gem. I perceived it as woody, a scent designed to stand out, and indeed, I did stand out at 15. It was my signature; I loved it with all my soul, and unfortunately, Avon discontinued it 😭.

In Argentina, Susana Giménez promoted this fragrance. I bought it after sniffing a bit of the magazine’s tester and fell in love at first whiff. Clearly superior to what I’d smelled on the tester; this scent was intoxicating. Literally, I felt like a diva with a wild touch. Although I was a teenager who preferred gourmand and sugary aromas, this made me feel adult and very sensual, drawing me closer to animalic scents. It was an absolute bomb. Every second of wear was worth it.
