Animale Intense for Women has that classic sweet DNA reminiscent of Cacharel’s L’Amour and BBW colognes. It sits well on the skin and offers good longevity.
The original Animale brought back memories of my cousin when I was a child, so I bought it blindly out of curiosity. It’s linear, oscillating between freesia, passionfruit, and apple, but it doesn’t smell of freshly cut green flowers; rather, it’s sweet, almost fruity. It’s 100% synthetic, but it doesn’t bother me and fits its price point. It leaves a soft trail; in my case, it improves if applied more frequently or on clothes. It lasts 5-6 hours on my skin. It’s versatile for casual situations, especially daytime; I don’t find it seductive, but it suits any weather because it’s not intrusive. In short, it’s a pleasant fragrance, sweet without being cloying, affordable, and easy to wear.
