About Black Mango – Vetiver
Black Mango – Vetiver: Tropical Fruit, Shadowy Vetiver
From Scents of Wood, Black Mango – Vetiver is a woody offering for women and men that arrived in 2026.
Created by Pascal Gaurin, it sets a spiced mango idea against lavender and geranium, grounded in vetiver, myrrh and amber.
At the top, mango is teamed with ginger, cardamom and Cosmofruit™. Rather than jammy, the fruit reads as dry and seasoned, with ginger providing bite and cardamom a fresh-spiced lift.
Through the middle, jasmine, geranium and lavender come forward with allspice. The lavender keeps things aromatic and groomed, jasmine lends smoothness, and geranium contributes a leafy floral character.
Beneath, vetiver takes the lead alongside myrrh, amber, frankincense and cocoa shell. The vetiver is earthy and dry, softened by resins and touched with the faintest cocoa roundness.
The character spans amber, warm spice, aromatic freshness and woods, with white floral, tropical, lavender and sweet nuances in the background. Bright at first, it settles into something more tenebrous.
It will suit wearers who favour distinctive woody perfumes with fruit that is not sweet. Made for admirers of seasoned vetiver, unconventional lavender and dry resinous bases built on amber and frankincense.
Black Mango – Vetiver balances light and shade: seasoned mango above, resin-wrapped vetiver below. A Pascal Gaurin composition that brings a tropical yet dark voice to the Scents of Wood woody range.
