Have you worn Brisa Cubana?

Tell us how it opens, how it settles on your skin, how long it lasts and when you wear it.

  1. It smells like artisanal fruity sweetie with lime juice, lemon, orange, pineapple, and sugar. It’s a plump, tender sweetie where the freshness of the mint gives way to sweet juices. Escada’s summer colognes have that signature, but this is the sweetest version I remember. Although they mention mojito and lime, it evokes a pineapple juice style like Tous Gem’s Party for me. It’s the most ‘txutxería’ Escada summer scent so far. It lacks richness of nuance; it’s flatter. Perhaps aimed at teenagers due to such an intense glucose syrup? The colourful juice with a straw and paper flowers is an iconic summer cromolithograph.

  2. Smells like a handmade fruity gumdrop with lemon, orange and pineapple, sugar included. It’s a tender chew you savor slowly until the mint gives way to a world of sweet juices. It has that Escada summer seal, but this version is the most potent and clear I remember, evoking more of a Tous Gem’s Party pineapple juice than a mojito. It’s the most ‘txutxera’ in the collection: a bit flat and punchy, perhaps made for teenagers with that intense glucose syrup. The packaging with the green straw and paper flowers is iconic.

Without looking at the notes, I’d say it has peach… nothing of the sort! 😅😅 Soft but vibrant opening, reminiscent of sweet peaches and lemons, with a touch of peppermint. It settles sweet, floral, with more peppermint. Very rich. For an EDT, it lasts 4/5 hours on skin, projecting well for the first two, then you feel it when you move. Seems unisex, a bit childish. Pretty and pleasant. I’ll use it in the heat and during the day. Longevity: 7/10, Sillage: 7/10, Projection: 7.5/10.

Lime and mint are very present with a sweet base that prevents it from smelling like Orbit gum. It’s a fresh ‘breeze’ compared to trendy perfumes, super pleasant for daily wear and summer days. I’d use it for layering with florals or citrus to add a plus. Escada continues to surprise with delicious scents and will be one of my favourite brands. The only flaw is that it doesn’t last at all, literally. Seen and not seen. Maybe I’ll try the Aqua di Gioia to see if it improves.

Lime and mint are very present with a harmonious sweet base so it doesn’t smell like Orbit gum. It’s a ‘breeze’ of freshness compared to fashion perfumes. Super pleasant, 100% for daily wear and for the summer. I’d use it for layering with almost any other scent. Escada continues to surprise me. The only downside is that it lasts nothing, literally. Seen and not seen. I’ll try the Aqua di Gioia to see if it improves.

Without checking the notes, I thought it had peach, but there’s none. The opening is soft yet vibrant, like sweet peaches and lemons with a touch of spearmint. It settles into a sweet, floral scent with that spearmint note. Very nice, unisex but a bit childish. I’d wear it on a hot day. Longevity: 4/5 hours on skin, projects well at first and then you notice it as you move. Sillage and projection: 7/10.

I adore Escada’s limited editions, but this Cuban Breeze has disappointed me. I was looking for mint for summer and can’t find it; initially, it smells like bathroom cleaner, then a pleasant sweetness, yet without any mint or mojito. I ended up with a tester of my beloved Aqua di Gioia instead.

It is very sweet; I can’t find the mint or the summery freshness. I’ve been on a streak of summer colognes that smell unpleasantly artificially sweet: Rochas, Marc Jacobs, and this one… in the end, I’ll go for an Álvarez Gómez cologne and keep more money in my pocket.

It didn’t seem like any of Escada’s summer perfumes to me; it’s not as soft as those from other years, but more potent. It starts citrusy, but as it dries down, it’s totally floral.

I love the opening where I detect the lime and mojito blend, but as it dries down, it becomes more floral. The performance is good for a designer scent, lasting about three hours.

Fresh and sweet, perfect for summer. It doesn’t smell like mojito, but rather a very pleasant fruity citrus with moderate longevity and a light sillage.

I don’t like it at all. It doesn’t smell like mojito or lime; I just sense something very sweet and artificial, like a weird gumdrop.

It smells great, ideal for the heat, but lasts a mere breath. I wouldn’t buy it again just for the longevity.
