The top notes unfold with ginger, saffron, and licorice; the heart reveals lily root, cardamom, moss, iris, frankincense, and ambergris; while the base notes close with white cedar extract, musk, vetiver, aromatic notes, and pieces of driftwood.

It has tobacco notes, very different from Christian Lacroix’s Nuit for Men.
A simple, clean fragrance. Nothing spectacular, but not offensive either. It feels mainly woody, refreshed by a subtle ginger note. I don’t detect much cardamomo. It reminds me a bit of Hugo XY, but less stifling and fresher. Seems made for evening wear and can be used in any season. Quality is acceptable; as a catalogue product, you can’t expect more. Scent: 7/10 Longevity: 7/10 Projection: 7/10 Price: 8/10.
A simple, clean fragrance, nothing spectacular but not annoying either. The woody notes dominate with a touch of fresh ginger; the cardamomo is barely noticeable. It recalls Hugo XY a bit, but less heavy and fresher. Goes well for evening wear and can be used all year round. Acceptable quality for a catalogue product; you can’t ask for more. I’ve reviewed Noir before, but among Christian Lacroix’s perfumes, I adore it so much that I can’t leave it here with just a single note (I already have two to date). I love Noir; it’s unique. I won’t break it down by ingredients because I value it as a whole and it’s one-of-a-kind. Noir, ethereal and dark, special, very special. Regards.
