CK One Collector’s Edition by Calvin Klein

My first perfume and a great memory. A fresh, classic citrus, and, for me, much richer than the original CK One thanks to a unique and curious twist in its scent. Its performance is average: moderate sillage for the first two hours and then it becomes a purely skin scent. A clean and super wearable delight for the heat, ideal if you’re looking for the classic DNA but with a different touch.

During this time when I had to spend a lot of time at home I became very interested in the topic of scents, something I’ve always liked but now I’ve embarked on the “collector” journey, although I don’t have many as it’s a rather expensive hobby here in my country. I discovered this fragrance as I wanted something to wear at night, I like going to bed wearing perfume, I had the classic CK One many years ago and as I saw this edition with a very good discount in 200 ml I decided to buy it to recall memories from those years. I must say I was pleasantly surprised because although it has a hint of the classic, this one has more presence, I want to make clear it’s not a beast, far from it, but those woods that come through give it more body making an interesting and longer-lasting scent than I first thought. I was looking for something for the evening and, seeing this 200ml edition on discount, I decided to buy it to recall the classic CK One. I was pleasantly surprised: it has more presence than the original, it’s not a bomb, but those woody notes give it body and lasting power. A very pleasant fragrance with a fruity opening, perhaps due to the papaya. Ambroxan dominates the dry down, leaving a rich, sweet and floral trail. It sometimes reminds me of Carolina Herrera’s CH Men, though nothing like the original CK One. It has good longevity and projection, well above the usual standard for Calvin Klein.
