  1. Compliment is that tender, exquisite perfume you imagine for your wedding day. I can’t isolate more than two or three notes; everything blends into a white floral where it’s hard to tell which dominates, though I’d lean towards the neroli: sweet and slightly sticky, yet not intrusive or gourmand. Perfect for the office or any setting where you want to be noticed without being overwhelming. On my skin, it lasts about 5-6 hours, projecting well for the first two before settling into something more personal. I wouldn’t buy it as it’s not quite my style, but if it were a gift or I had the disposable income, I’d adore it. Not something I’d spend my current budget on.

  2. I absolutely love Compliment. I have a love-hate relationship with neroli: I get saturated if they’re sweet and sticky, but they seduce me with green touches, like here. The neroli sits at the heart with jasmine, wrapped in green, herbaceous, sharp, crisp, and wet notes. It’s like white flowers and greenery soaked by a fine rain; the sensation is fantastic. It lives up to its name, generates compliments, performs brilliantly, and leaves a lovely trail. It’s not overpowering if you control the sprays. It dresses elegantly yet remains easy to wear. I find it more of a daytime scent that shines in humid environments. Another gem on par with Maison Violet, highly recommended for lovers of white florals.

  3. Ultimately, it’s a fragrance that will earn compliments for being a very well-crafted floral blend with green and amber nuances. The base vanilla is spectacular: nothing sweet, childish, gourmand, or simple. It’s elegant, sophisticated, and modern. It projects strongly with an enormous sillage and a longevity of over 10 hours, impossible to beat. It’s versatile, suitable for day or night, ideal in fresh or cool atmospheres. Its performance is impeccable from the first spray to the dry down. I’m very pleased to have it and recommend it to lovers of retro white florals, such as Robert Piguet’s Fracas, especially if you enjoy neroli. 10/10.
