I like this perfume more the more I use it. It’s sweet, a genre that wasn’t my favourite, but Eclat de Nuit conquered me. The sweetness isn’t cloying; it’s well-balanced with the fruity notes. It’s pleasant, not invasive but very present. It lasts about 8-10 hours with 3 sprays and is noticeable on clothes after a couple of days. The sillage is good, not invasive. My husband says it smells like grape candy, and he loves it, even though he usually doesn’t like gourmand perfumes. Ideal for going out with friends for coffee. It was a blind buy and I have no regrets; a pleasant surprise that took me out of my comfort zone and proved a gourmand can be made very well. Rating: 8.5/10.
Oxygen
Although cheap copies often fail, Lanvin has imprinted its DNA on these siblings (D’Fleur and D’Arpege) without them seeming like identical triplets. It opens citrusy with sweet fruits that quickly move to the heart: berries, night flowers, wood, and more flowers, all well-mixed and singing the same tune. A praline base, more noticeable on cold days. It’s not just for night; it’s perfect for a fun afternoon with friends; according to the house, it recalls engagement rings on the cap. It’s fun, versatile, and elegant, with good value for money. Great news for the widows of YSL’s Baby Doll; this could be their flanker or replacement. The gradient bottle is gorgeous.
Gourmand Bottle
I love Lanvin and am a perfume novice, but buying it with high hopes, I must say I didn’t like it. At first, the alcohol was strong, but it passed quickly, giving way to flowers and blackcurrants. Later I noticed lemon, but didn’t sense the apple, unlike its sister Modern Princess where it is the star. It has good trail and projection. It’s sweet, mostly floral, with many flowers I can’t identify due to my inexperience. It has a vintage aura, from the 80s or 90s. Not one of my favourites; I wouldn’t buy it again. I’m left with the satisfaction of knowing another fragrance from a house I adore so much, more for what it represents to me than its quality.

Although constant brand flankers overwhelm us, there are some failures that go unnoticed and others that remain etched in the retina like traditional Eclat d’Arpege, impossible to surpass. But this time, Eclat de Nuit is truly beautiful: a dual fragrance of joy and sensuality. An exquisite fruity elixir of red berries and blackcurrants, crowned by soft vanilla and praline. It’s jovial, elegant, and sophisticated, with over 120 years of history living the metamorphosis of a butterfly, worthy of being worn by the spirit of a contemporary Jeanne Lanvin.

Lanvin managed to imprint their DNA on these siblings without them looking like identical twins. It opens with citrus and sweet fruits, moving into florals and wood, all so well blended it sounds like a single chord. The praline base shines on cold days. Not for night, but perfect for a fun afternoon with friends; the ringed cap makes it ideal for married women. It’s fun, versatile and elegant, with great value for money. Great news for Baby Doll widows from YSL, as this could be their flanker. The bottle has a gorgeous gradient.

What a charm in a transparent bottle; the presentation and scent go hand in hand. I love their fragrances as they put me in an optimistic mood; I only managed to get 30ml, which was a triumph. I wore it for three days in a row. It opens fruity, with a sweetness of sweets and a standout freesia, with a woody base. It’s a youthful exquisite, but… it lasts a long time on clothes, and on skin, you only notice it if you apply too much to make it stand out.
Gourmand Bottle
I love Lanvin and am a novice, but this wasn’t for me. At first, it smells of strong alcohol, then shifts to flowers and blackcurrants. I didn’t detect the apple as I did in Modern Princess. It has good sillage and projection, sweet and floral with a vintage 80s/90s vibe. Not one of my favourites; I wouldn’t buy it again, but I’m glad to know more about the house.

I ordered it with such high hopes after seeing an Instagram post describing it so beautifully, and I already own its sister which resembles Chance Eau Tendre, but the truth is it disappointed me. It smells very artificial, like those air fresheners or catalogue perfumes with lots of cheap alcohol.

A friend gifted me this perfume and I opened it with high hopes due to the beautiful packaging, but it was a great disappointment upon smelling it. I didn’t like it at all; since using it, my nose has been itchy and it smells very artificial. Honestly, I recommend trying it before buying blindly.

Sweet, caramelised, and with a sour touch, very trendy now. It’s not quite Lanvin… I was surprised for the worse. It’s like apple, blackcurrant, and praline, more of the same. Duration and sillage are moderate; youthful. I had higher expectations. The bottle is very pretty.
