Descripción

Father Tobacco by Casaniche is an olfactive fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2022, this composition was created by Maximiliano Cifuentes and Chris Maurice. The top notes unfold with Arab spices, coriander, and cardamom; the heart reveals honey, tobacco, and cedar moss; while the base notes settle on tobacco, tobacco leaves, oud wood, amber, musk, and patchouli.

  • I had the honour of receiving a sample as an advance and was fascinated. A dirty, rough pipe tobacco that remains the protagonist always but lightens over a honeyed and patchouli base. Tremendously attractive.

A fragrance with personality, one where you need to remember that you must dominate it, not the other way around. Few adjustments needed as it envelops you in its notes of patchouli, tobacco, oakmoss, coriander, and its touch of honey. Ideal for use in winter and autumn, on cold nights. But as I said, you need to get used to it because the perfume is very good and has the personality to make a presence.

What more can I say? If only one could transfer this exquisite tobacco scent, long-lasting without losing elegance, a genuine and unique fragrance. I smell an exquisite monofloral honey, wet oak, a fireplace with burning tobacco remnants, and the pipe with its characteristic scent. The patchouli kicks in after a while, ufff, I even smell a rich artisanal chocolate, even a stout beer. Exquisite, congratulations Casaniche 👏👏👏👏.

  • The father of tobacco scents, although given the history of the name and the fact it wasn’t the first choice, it’s very well placed. Opening of tobacco and honey, a strong opening with lasting power; after 40 minutes the honey becomes noticeable but the tobacco is that of a freshly opened cigar. By the end, at 12 hours, you can smell ash and tobacco. In short, it evokes the complete process of smoking a cigar, accompanied by honey.

  • Despite what people say, this doesn’t escape the typical sweet tobacco vibe. It lacks that dry, rough edge of a cigar in the ashtray that some promise, but it smells great—mature and elegant. Just don’t expect a reinvention of the genre.

  • Despite what people say, this perfume doesn’t stray far from the typical sweet tobacco. In my view, it’s quite some way off the dry, rough tobacco that, as it dries down, would represent a cigar in an ashtray as some reviewers claim. However, it smells very mature and elegant. Just don’t expect a reinvention of tobacco scents.

  • All fragrances from this house smell the same; there are hardly any new proposals, so at these unjustified prices, you’d be better off going for a Mancera and getting 120ml instead.
