I knew what to expect and tried it anyway. It smells of OBG, a saffron bomb from the very first moment, and the quality is evident. The opening is intense and lets you guess the journey: lots of saffron and black pepper. It stays strong in the middle and finishes with notes of oud, tobacco, and a slight sweetness that softens it a little, though not as much as in Haltane. After trying and rejecting it, it hasn’t won me over. It smells good, lasts long, and is elegant and mature, but it’s not for me. Too much punch all the time. The typical perfume with many pros, but the connection with me just isn’t there.
