What a lovely discovery for this summer! This fragrance has a bright citrus opening with a somewhat sharp lemon that recalls the juice (or essential oils) of a freshly squeezed lemon; those notes are heightened by the cedar, which adds a resinous touch but also green hints that slightly remind me of Mexican lime. In this respect, the fig timidly accompanies from the background. It’s worth noting that it does not resemble other fig fragrances on the market, because it is not a green fig but a sweet fig. I would suggest trying it on skin, because on a blotter the citrus opening does not remind you as much of sweet lemonade; you feel more of the lemon side. After about 10 minutes, the sharp citrus part fades and the fig begins to increase its presence, with a fig that is sweeter and riper than green, though it presents both characteristics, with a precise touch of sweetness so it does not lose the clean-fruity characteristic that the fig note usually provides. Personally, on a hot, humid day it lasted more than 8 hours; it doesn’t project much, but it feels present, and you get wafts of fragrance when the air moves towards you. I think it’s a good scent for the office or the gym (or exercise).
The opening is an explosion of very sharp citruses, giving a sensation like lemon soda, fizzy and somewhat sweet, but not cloying. After a while, the fig comes out and gives the fragrance body, and it lasts until the end, where it blends with dry woods that make it slightly more masculine, though to me it is a fairly unisex perfume. Longevity is very good for a citrus, I guess because of the fig. I have several perfumes with a fig note, and this one does not resemble any of them; the closest might be Fico di Amalfi by Acqua di Parma, but unlike the latter, Fig Lemonade is less linear, has better longevity, and has a quality that has nothing to envy Acqua di Parma.
