Total disappointment. Based on the notes, I thought it would be unisex, but it leans heavily feminine. They don’t list flowers or roses, but I’m sure they’re there. It’s incredibly long-lasting and heavy; I wore it at night and it was too much to sleep in. If you like something feminine, this is for you. I’m giving it to my wife, and if she doesn’t like it, it’s heading to the second-hand market.

At first, it smells like new car floor mats. There’s a touch of burnt match or a dying campfire. It’s mysterious and intoxicating; I find myself sniffing it constantly while writing. It reminds me of its sister, Blackpepper by Comme des Garçons, in that sinister, dark point, though this one is calmer and easier to wear. Ideal for autumn and winter. After a few hours, it resembles M7 Oud Absolu somewhat.

To be honest, I love the main aroma until after an hour, when all the essence fades. I bought it on impulse after testing it, but I expected more longevity from those key notes. That said, I still think it’s a great perfume.

It loses its main notes after a few hours and is left almost solely with sandalwood and incense. I like it this way, with smoke and spices, but without the initial fruit and floral notes, I’m not convinced at all.

As for me, who usually looks for unisex fragrances, this doesn’t strike me as such. It smells much more feminine than masculine.

Well, I just didn’t like this Floriental at all. It doesn’t smell bad, but it’s such a timid scent… Nothing special, and all I detect is sandalwood and a hint of plum at the outset. The dry-down is supposed to be labdanum, but honestly, it’s completely negligible. On top of that, the projection and longevity on my skin are ridiculous, even though I applied quite a bit.

Well, this Floriental hasn’t really won me over. It’s not that it smells bad, but the scent is so timid it doesn’t stand out. At first, you only detect sandalwood and a hint of plum, and although they claim the labdanum emerges as it dries, it’s barely noticeable. Moreover, the projection and longevity are ridiculous, despite applying quite a generous amount.

Miquel Angel, ever since Puig took over Comme des Garçons, it’s been one disappointment after another. The house’s greatest perfumes all come from the pre-Puig era.
