This review is based on three small samples I was gifted. The first sensation is a strong, overpowering ginger that punches you in the nose with a nuclear neroli that almost destroyed my olfactory senses. First impression was horrible. As time passed, the orange blossom emerged in all its glory, keeping the neroli, smelling similar to those Alvarez Gómez colognes my grandmother has in her guest bathroom since I can remember. After a few hours, the vanilla and musk appeared timidly, sitting slightly in the background trying to soften the scent, which they failed to do. As for the tonka bean, benzoin, and rose… I can’t smell them anywhere, at least I didn’t detect them. It’s not a horrible perfume, simply not for me, I didn’t like it. It’s too expensive for what it is. With all the wonders Kenzo has, I’d prefer other scents from the brand. Do not recommend buying blindly. Longevity is normal/good. It doesn’t seem like a youthful or particularly modern perfume, and the blend of notes seems odd.
This review is based on three gifted samples. The first impression is an overpowering ginger note with a nuclear neroli that almost burned my nose; a horrible sensation. Over time, the orange blossom emerges while keeping the neroli, smelling like the Alvarez Gómez colognes my grandmother used. Hours later, vanilla and musk appear timidly in the base without softening the scent. I don’t detect the tonka bean, benzoin, or rose. It’s not terrible, simply not for me, and too expensive for what it is. Compared to Kenzo’s wonders, I prefer other options. I don’t recommend buying blindly. The longevity is normal/good; it doesn’t feel youthful or modern, and the blend of notes felt odd.
But what a terrible perfume, please!!! I am absolutely obsessed with Eau de Lumiere, which I consider a masterpiece, and I wanted to try this new flanker. An absolute horror!!! It’s a strong Johnson’s baby cologne. On top of that, I tested it on the back of my hand and the scent invaded me. To make matters worse, it’s super strong and long-lasting. It has absolutely nothing to do with the original Flower, so again (since Eau de Lumiere isn’t perfect either), I can’t understand why it’s a flanker. Horrible!
Beautiful and very delicate. Its standout note is orange blossom, giving a baby cologne sensation. The ginger is noticeable at first, quite sharp and spicy, but it disappears after a few minutes. In the base, you can detect the DNA of the classic Flower, with its indisputable powdery note, only here it is extremely subtle and doesn’t overpower. It’s the soft and delicate version of Flower. Ideal for spring and autumn, lasting approximately 6 to 8 hours…

I didn’t like it at all. I was gifted a sample; it was very powdery and floral, resembling baby cologne. It feels suited to mature people, nothing youthful. The longevity is excellent, but after wearing it for a while, it started to repel me. I wouldn’t buy it.
What a horrible perfume, please! I’m absolutely obsessed with Eau de Lumiere, a masterpiece, and wanted to try this new flanker. A disaster! It’s a strong Johnson’s-style cologne. I tested it on the back of my hand and the smell invaded everything. Plus, it’s super strong and long-lasting. It has nothing to do with the original Flower, so, like with Eau de Lumiere, I don’t understand why it’s called a flanker. Horrible!
I didn’t like it at all. I was gifted a sample at the perfumerie; it’s very powdery and floral, smelling like baby cologne. It feels like a fragrance for older people, nothing youthful. The longevity is excellent, but after a while, I started to find it repulsive… I wouldn’t buy it.
I find it nothing like the original. I’ll give myself the chance to try it again in spring, but for cold weather, I don’t like it at all 🙁
I find it bears no resemblance to the original. I’ll give myself the chance to try it again in spring, but I don’t like it for cold weather at all 🙁
Beautiful, simple yet lovely in my opinion. The citrus notes are very prominent, along with orange blossom and a baby scent that I adored.
It’s a soft, baby-type fragrance. You can detect a bit of citrus and ginger, which give it a zing so it isn’t purely childish. At first, I hated it, but then I fell in love with it. It’s for a walk in the park on a spring afternoon, not for a party. Update: over time it became addictive; I choose it more than the rest. When I pass by, I stop to smell it on the bottle… I’m taking advantage to use it now in spring because it’s the best season for it.

It’s not the powdery scent of your mother and grandmother’s era, relax; it’s a very modern powder. You wear it and stay young; certainly, it has the softness of a baby perfume.
It’s not the baby powder from your mother’s or grandmother’s era, so don’t worry; it’s a very modern powder scent. You wear it and still look youthful, although it does retain the softness of a baby perfume.
I didn’t like it absolutely at all. Very sweet. Another graceless, unattractive fruity-chouli. For immediate forgetting.
Very criticised and attacked, but on me it’s excellent: longevity and trail without being suffocating. Smells of orange with a subtle sweetness, warm from the tonka bean and slightly dusty. It’s not like Kenzo’s Flower; it’s a different fragrance. Not for heat, but for winter or intermediate times. It’s delicious, feminine and delicate. I recommend testing on skin, where the magic happens. Delighted with the variety in this Kenzo line.
Heavily criticised by others, but it’s a hit on me: long-lasting, has good sillage, and isn’t suffocating. Smells of orange with a soft sweetness and a warm, powdery touch of tonka bean. It’s not Kenzo Flower; it’s a different fragrance altogether. Not for hot weather, but perfect for mild autumn or winter. It’s delicious, feminine and delicate without being over the top, with a cheerful vibe. I’d recommend testing it on skin, as that’s where it truly shines. I’m delighted with this Kenzo line because there’s something for everyone.
I didn’t like it at all. Very sweet, another fruit-chilli without grace or appeal. For immediate forgetfulness.
The opening is sparkling with ginger and citrus, then the powdery notes enter, like baby cologne with lots of orange blossom. After an hour, the tonka bean and vanilla are noticeable close to the skin. It’s not my style and didn’t catch my attention, but I like its evolution and distinct phases. It has little to do with the original Flower. Soft-moderate trail, 5-6 hours longevity. Scent 6/10, longevity 8/10, trail 7/10, value for money 7/10, packaging 6/10. Would I buy again? No.
It’s floral, powdery yet sweet and citrusy, like the scent of a baby. I’m fascinated by it and find it comforting when I’m feeling down; I feel embraced by the fragrance.
Smells lovely, powdery but without a cosmetic scent. It’s feminine and tender, reminiscent of baby powder products with a subtle sweetness, without smelling like a nappy. I like it!
Smells just like English Cologne: citrusy, sweet, vanilla-scented and with orange blossom, until it gives a slight headache. Over time it becomes dustier and more vanilla with green nuances, fading in intensity. It’s not bad, but I prefer English Cologne before spending a whole bottle.
Don’t judge too quickly; it works well on my skin. Perhaps it’s not for every skin type, as the opening is intense and more powdery than the original Flower. The neroli dominates, smelling of a field of flowers with cotton petals. Charming and recommended, especially on darker skin tones!
If you like citrus, this is for you. It’s not exotic or unique, but it’s exquisite, easy to wear and ideal for sunny days. I recommend it highly!
I thought this flanker would be better than the Flower, and I loved its citrus opening, but the heart notes are once again so powdery that I can’t stand them. I put it away after two uses, though I might give it another try.
I thought I’d like this flanker more than the classic Flower. I loved its citrus opening, but in the heart notes it becomes just as powdery as the original, which I can’t stand. That heavy powder note is off-putting; I’ve only worn it twice and put it away. I’ll try it again sometime.
Smells like a sweet citrus with orange blossom, vanilla and ginger; just as tender as JPG’s Classique Cabaret, perfect for anyone seeking something feminine without being cloying. Highly recommended!
