  The name is confusing as I searched for a pomegranate scent and this wasn’t what I expected. Although it says ‘granadina’, it barely smells of sweet orange for three seconds. In reality, it speaks of the city of Granada, of a night stroll through the Alhambra. It has few notes but they are exquisite and natural: a bouquet of white flowers where sweet, creamy jasmine takes centre stage, accompanied by cheerful orange blossom. The base is clean and powdery with tonka bean and musk, while an amber vanilla adds warmth and longevity. It’s floral, feminine, sensual and elegant, reminiscent of Carolina Herrera but less intense and more versatile. Ideal for spring or summer evenings in open, romantic spaces, not for the office. It reminds me of the biznagueros in Málaga selling jasmine at night, and the towns of Guaro and Mijas during their Luna Mora festival, with candles, music and a medieval atmosphere. This perfume makes me want to stroll my streets again as a tourist, a privilege.

  It’s gorgeous, but it didn’t surprise me as it smells very much like Jean Paul Gaultier Classique. It starts the same, then changes slightly, but remains the same scent. It’s a softer version of that one; if you already own the JPG, don’t buy this blindly – test it first and decide.

  Smells terrible, like a nineties perfume that’s long gone out of fashion and just doesn’t fit.
