I remember when this perfume was the king of Esika; it cost an arm and a leg and I viewed it as the epitome of elegance from a young age. I always wanted one, and when I finally could, I was over the moon. The truth is, my skin’s pH makes most perfumes fade in no time; I can’t recall it lasting more than two hours on clothes or skin. Still, I bought it a few times because I adored its flowers and that sense of class. What a pity it’s no longer sold.
What a pity it’s no longer available. My boyfriend gave me Amarige, and when it ran out, I looked for something similar but more affordable, which is how I found it. I can’t believe they only list two notes; I remember it being like a bouquet of sweetened flowers. Very long-lasting and elegant.

If I’m not mistaken, in the mid-90s this fragrance was Ebel or L’bel. I owned it and it was very similar to Givenchy’s Amarige. The bottle and packaging were beautiful. Excellent longevity.

I remember it being a ‘must’ in my grandmother’s dressing room; back then I didn’t quite understand it, but I liked it (and still do). It evokes a woman who is put-together, very empowered, confident in herself and what she wants in life. Simply exquisite, and all achieved with just two notes. Powerful, with character. The jasmine comes through everywhere. I used it many years ago. A sweet, cosy scent. Lasts forever and its trail is overwhelming. For a catalogue fragrance, it’s tremendous, and for having so few notes, it’s an excellent perfume.
