  1. DioscóridesV

A fresh woody scent with a lovely opening that dries down to a superbly balsamic finish, featuring a standout note of marjoram juice (for those who know what I mean) – a rather unusual touch. It didn’t quite convince me.

If it were a bit more potent, it would be my favourite perfume. Ivvavik lacks a little projection and longevity on the skin. The opening is intense, and being a woody extrait, it promises to be a beastly fragrance. At first, it smells very much of wood and spices; I notice the cedar base mixed with whisky-like alcohol, nutmeg, and some flowers that give it a special character. Then comes the dry-down phase, and it improves even more. It’s as if I were facing a glass of Cardhu, which brings back memories of my childhood: my father would have a drink before bed while we watched TV in the lounge. In the base, there is a very natural and good cedar, rounding everything off with that floral and spicy touch. The issue came after two hours, as I felt nothing else on my skin. I thought it was olfactory habituation, but today I smelled my shirt from yesterday and… nothing. As if I hadn’t put on any perfume. It’s a pity because the quality is excellent and the smell very pleasant. It smells a bit masculine, but a woman can wear it if she likes alcoholic perfumes. I was thinking of it for the evening, but due to the poor longevity, it serves for any occasion. Scent: 9 Longevity: 6 Projection: 5 Value for money: 4.5 (the quality is good, but I can’t help but point out it’s an extra and more expensive than the other scents from the brand) Versatility: 8 Originality: 9 Overall: 7

  3. If it performed a little better, it would be one of my favourites. Ivvavik lacks projection and longevity on the skin. The opening is intense, and as a woody extrait, it promises to be beastly. Right now, it smells very much of wood and spices; I detect the cedar mixed with whisky-like alcohol, nutmeg, and flowers that give it a special touch. As it dries down, it improves even more, as if I were facing a glass of Cardhu, evoking memories of my childhood when my father would have one before bed while watching TV in the lounge. The base has excellent, natural, and rounded cedar, blending well with those floral and spicy notes. The problem arose after two hours, as I couldn’t smell anything on my skin. I thought it was olfactory fatigue, but today I smelled my shirt from yesterday and… nothing, as if I hadn’t worn any perfume. It’s a shame because the quality is excellent and the scent very pleasant. The aroma is slightly masculine, but a woman could wear it if she enjoys alcoholic perfumes. I considered it for evening wear, but due to its low longevity, it suits any time of day.
