I bought it despite not being a big follower of Hermès, as their fragrances are usually too unisex for my taste. This is not bad, but on my skin it keeps that androgynous touch that doesn’t fully convince me. I recognise it is ideal for very hot days as it is very dry; it is the type of perfume you wear to a meeting at 3pm with 40 degrees without annoying anyone. It doesn’t smell like a vase, although a slight floral touch is noticeable, but I perceive it more as dry, almost arid. No warmth or cosiness, just a pleasant aroma for the heat. I don’t think I will repurchase it, as for my taste it is excessively dry and there are options more in my style for summer, although I have only worn it for a few weeks now. Perhaps when it has been open for several months my perception will change, as happens with other fragrances that settle.

I bought it despite not being a huge Hermès fan; their scents are usually too unisex for me. This smells nice, but on my skin it remains too neutral for my taste. It is definitely a crack for extreme heat—super dry and light, perfect for a 3pm meeting without annoying anyone. It doesn’t smell like a vase; rather, something arid and dry, not particularly cosy. I only see it useful on hot days. I wouldn’t buy it again as it is excessively dry and there are fresher summer options I prefer. I’ve only worn it for a couple of weeks; perhaps with time it will change, as it does with other fragrances when they settle.

  • An exquisite originality. A magnificent perfume. It is captivating. It lasts 10-12 hours and the trail is contagious, reaching more than two metres. To categorise it merely as floral is to muzzle an essence that speaks its own language. It is predominantly floral: gardenia and jasmine, grown in voluptuousness. It is fruity: the apricot blossom is not smelled as such; one senses the pit and pulp. It is oriental: a Sambac jasmine that transports us to Arabia. It is chypre: with a trail of wood, moss and flowers. It is walking at dawn in a misty dress, inhabited by white flowers and freesia, with grapefruit juice. And an intruder, an extravagance: the apricot blossom, like a chrysalis giving birth to the fruit. Now that the sun rises, perhaps you will see my splendid garden, but it would not matter to walk blind in such delightful company. Whether sun or mist, nothing matters; after witnessing butterflies born from moonlight.

  • An exquisite originality and a magnificent perfume. It lasts 10-12 hours with a trail that reaches more than two metres. To categorise it as floral is to muzzle an essence that speaks invented languages. It is predominantly floral: gardenia and jasmine, grown in voluptuousness, boasting of their beauty. It is fruity: the apricot flower is not smelled, but has a pit and is chewed and swallowed with its pulp. It is oriental: a Sambac jasmine that transports us to Arabia. It is chypre: with its trail of wood, moss and flowers. It is walking at dawn with a dense mist for a dress; a mist inhabited by white flowers and freesia, sprinkled with grapefruit juice… and stitched between them… An ‘intruder’, an extravagance: the apricot flower, shedding its petals and like a chrysalis giving birth to the fruit… and now that the sun rises, perhaps you can see my eyes in such a splendid garden, but it wouldn’t matter to walk blind in such delightful company. Whether sun or mist, nothing matters; after seeing butterflies born in the light of the moon.

  • After testing a sample in the perfumerie, I simply couldn’t resist and bought it. It is dry, distinguished, slightly masculine, but clearly a woman’s scent with great personality. I reserve it for special occasions. It has a moderate aura and exceptional longevity.

I simply adore it. It is an exquisite floral, ultra-feminine, refinedly sensual and light, like a caress of feathers or petals. I think I am falling in love even more with the sensitivity of master Ellena. I have no words for this fabulous bouquet, illuminated by a citrus brushstroke from the original Jour. It is timeless, inspiring luxury and elegance without extravagance. The base notes balance and add sobriety. Wearing it makes me feel happy and comfortable, like a light silk dress. It is a discreet and fascinating jewel. The trail is moderate at first, then almost skin-close, but with excellent longevity, lasting over 9 hours. Ideal for daywear and spring, yet it adapts to any weather.

  • I love it; it is an exquisite floral and super feminine, refinedly sensual and light, like a caress with a feather or delicate petals. I am falling in love more and more with the sensitivity of master Ellena. I have no words for this fabulous bouquet highlighted by a precise citrus brushstroke of the original Jour. It is timeless, inspiring luxury and elegance without ostentation, coherent with other Hermès flowers for women. The base notes, without being protagonists, balance everything and give sobriety without losing shine. Wearing it makes me feel happy and comfortable, like a light silk dress that moves with every step. It is a discreet and fascinating jewel for those who appreciate it. It has a medium trail at the start and then almost skin-close, but always with aromatic bursts; the longevity is excellent, over 9 hours. I see it as ideal for the day and spring, but it adapts to any climate, even heat, as others say.

  • VainillaDulce

One of my absolute favourites. Every time I wear it, I feel wrapped in an aura of unparalleled elegance. It has great personality and class, very much in line with the Hermès signature. I perfectly identify the apricot at the start, then a lovely jasmine settles in, blending beautifully with the moss and woods. It makes me feel unique. 10/10.

One of my all-time favourites. Every time I wear it, I feel wrapped in an aura of elegance; there is nothing like it. It has great personality and class, very much in the Hermès style. I detect apricot blossom at first, followed by a jasmine that blends with moss and woods. It makes me feel unique. Rating: 10/10.

Jour D’Hermès is one of those fragrances that gives you a victorious attitude. Strong upon application, its evolution is fascinating. Starting with the power of grapefruit and woods, it smells like wood to me from the outset, before transitioning into white flowers. That blend of gardenia and jasmine is intoxicating. It finishes soft, mossy, floral and sweet. I absolutely love it.

  • Beautiful perfume, well-structured. It’s persistent, accompanying us for hours like a soft mist. It’s a vaporous floral, not sweet. At first, the grapefruit, then the flowers, leaving a woody, green and balsamic trail, perhaps due to the moss, an uncommon note. A lovely combination. Highly recommended for work; elegant, simple and distinguished.

A bitter, sparkling grapefruit, floral and woody. That’s how it opens and how I perceive it for a while. It’s delicious; I’m fascinated by it. I already own Jour d’Hermès and both are exquisite. This one is more citrusy due to the grapefruit and slightly more woody in my opinion. Both are highly recommended, with great longevity and sillage. Expensive, but worth it.

  • It is a unique and elegant fragrance, ideal for the heat. I am a fan of the house and almost all of Hermès are my favourites, so my opinion is very subjective, but this grapefruit with flowers suits me perfectly.

  • It’s unique and elegant. I love it for hot days. I’m a fan of the creator and I like almost all Hermès fragrances; my opinion is subjective but I simply adore this grapefruit and floral blend.

  • It’s a delight, exquisite. Feminine, elegant and classy, yet fresh and clean. Every time I wear it, I feel amazing. It has those flowers, fresh stems and a touch of wood that give it great performance. It’s in my all-time top 5. I love it. If anyone is going to buy blind, go for it; you won’t regret it and it’s worth it. It’s a HERMÈS.

  • It arrived brand new, a blind buy. I don’t detect any grapefruit; what I smell is a classic gardenia. Honestly, without wanting to offend, it sounds a bit like grandma. I do not recommend buying blind.

  • Well, it arrived fresh and was a blind buy. Just a heads-up: I don’t detect any grapefruit at all; to me, it smells like classic gardenia. Honestly, it gives me a bit of an older vibe, reminding me of my grandmother. I wouldn’t recommend buying it without trying it first.

  • I just received this jewel. I bought it without much desire, just because I was in a hurry for the delivery of other products and took advantage of the $37 price… the bottle is lovely and heavy, the box demonstrates sophistication, and the perfume is everything I needed to feel happy for at least the rest of my life. Trying to get out of that increasingly sweet genre, I found this… and it’s a wonder, with good reason for so much packaging and luxurious bottle.

  • Ana Capellino

I bought it in miniature and I loved it immediately. So much so that I didn’t want to use it so it wouldn’t run out. Delicious, addictive, feminine, and different. That’s how I would define it.

  • Mundo de aromas

To start, it’s not for buying blind. It’s strange, because when I sprayed it the first time, I disliked it immensely. On my skin it has a green and citrus dry-down; in the base I sense flowers and moss (slightly), but with a feeling of cleanliness, not soapy. I love it! It’s like using a citrus and aromatic gel that stays on the skin all day. I don’t use much quantity, so it’s not overwhelming, it stays close to the skin but is perceptible. If you have the normal one you don’t need this and vice versa. They are practically the same.

  • María Jacqueline

In my search for elegant citrus scents I came across this EDP and I LOVED 💖 it immediately for its aroma (opening: freshly cut natural grapefruit; dry-down: more floral, woody, but the star is that exquisite moss). Then I loved it even more for its longevity: on me it’s 7 hours and more. Elegant, versatile, daytime, moderate to soft sillage. Total addition to my collection, it only has one similarity: its brother Hermès Jour d’Hermès.

  • It’s crazy, but I sense a hint of fish. Something animal, of the sea, I’d say caviar. But that doesn’t mean I don’t like it; on the contrary, it gives me the sensation of having a bank account in the stratosphere. It makes me want to hear gold bracelets jingling happily on my wrists. Perfumes also have sounds for me, and this one sounds like gold bracelets and ice cubes in a long drink. It feels vintage, from the 60s. It smells of flowers, cigarettes, make-up, dry alcohol like a martini, and genuine leather cars, a luxury of other times that is politically incorrect today.

  • Soyyoymiperfume

What a delight… citrus, rare, woody, different, powerful, and lasts a long time on skin and clothes… elegant and sophisticated, the projection is incredible… I tried it years ago and always come back to it. You must try it first, because according to the pH it might highlight a note you don’t like, but it’s a very fine perfume.

  • Jovial and fresh elegance for everyday wear. Its sophistication is accessible and doesn’t require a special occasion. It’s citrusy, sparkles amongst many flowers, and is wrapped in a fine moss that oxygenates everything all the time. It portrays that minimal modern elegance of Hermès, conceptual and abstract. It’s the elegance of the colours of Paul Klee, Hilma af Klint, or Mondrian. It combines a modern spirit with classic elements that everyone likes, for any day. Magic of Hermès bottled by Jean-Claude Ellena.

If today is a good day, don’t wait for tomorrow! This afternoon I decided to use my non-birthday self-gift: JOUR Absolu by Hermès. ‘Jour’ or ‘day’ in French is the great secret of this house, especially if I tell you it looks fantastic on a man’s skin. I studied it in the shop for ages but was held back by the price (niche or private collection level) and its presentation, which seemed more focused on women. The bottle is beautiful, heavy, and imposing, even if it doesn’t reach 100 ml. The design recalls Lenvol by Cartier a little, but Hermès glass is superior. The engraved cap and atomiser are unsurpassed. But let’s get to the juice! Everything said applies to the EDP and this Absolu version, except for one thing I’ll mention at the end. Jour opens with a radiant grapefruit and an orange aftertaste, perhaps due to the apricot blossom. The dry-down is so delicate and realistic it lives up to its name. It’s for shining during the day and in the heat; it will show its splendour. It’s restrained, but people will smell it at a short distance for about 8 hours. After 20 minutes, the heart and base emerge together, making it very unisex: the white flowers soften with the woods and that bitter, soapy aftertaste given by the oakmoss. I took a risk and I’m glad; it will be my favourite alternative for spring-summer, as citrus scents usually fly. This one stands like a champion. The difference with the EDP is that on my skin this version is greener, like freshly cut stems, whereas in the Absolu the grapefruit is more direct. The rest is the same. Be careful! Don’t buy it blind; you need to understand it to let it catch you. I give it 9/10.

It’s my spring signature scent. On my skin, the grapefruit shines brilliantly. It’s fresh, elegant, and lifts my mood. The first time I tried it in a decant, I hated it; then I sprayed it on the back of my hand, got into the bath, and while I was in the water, I fell in love. It flooded the bathroom with citrus and freshness. I bought it the very next day. Lasts over 8 hours on skin, average projection, and a fair price. Top quality.
