The opening is impeccable: green, wild, and very natural lavender. However, after 15 minutes, the scent starts to give me a bit of a cringe; it seems the lavender becomes creamy and hard to digest, until it evolves and the final blend with coumarin becomes pleasant. I would have preferred it to stay as it was at the start. It lasts all day on clothes, and with several sprays, I think it has good longevity. The overall impression is of a finer, niche version of Caron Pour Homme, but that’s all. The problem is that while Caron costs around 0.25 euros per millilitre, Tom Ford is 6 euros… that is twenty-five times more expensive. It’s another proof of the direction society is heading. Some will justify that difference, I won’t.
