I tried this on my husband’s magazine paper and MAMMA MIA, what a delight! I fully agree with the text stating it needs a man to shine, much like a suit. The leather and spices blend with the warmth of the skin and the wearer’s style. I couldn’t describe it better, though on skin it feels even richer, more intense and masculine. I already want it.
Spicy opening with a lot of lavender, very much in use by Gucci lately. What I like most is the dry-down, where the amber really comes through. It has a low sillage; you have to overapply to notice it, and the longevity is weak, barely noticeable on the skin. It reminds me of another fragrance I can’t quite recall. If it lasted longer, I would hold it in higher esteem. Nice bottle and good marketing with James Franco.
This fragrance has quite a spicy opening, but lavender is also noticeable, quite used lately in many Gucci men’s fragrances. What I like most is its dry-down, quite masculine; I think the most I can detect is the amber. It has a very low trail; if you want to notice it, you’ll have to overapply, and the longevity is also very weak, it’s skin-deep. It reminds me of another fragrance I’ve smelled, but I can’t recall which. If it had better longevity, I would hold it in higher esteem. Very beautiful bottle and very good advertising with the charismatic James Franco.

The bergamot was less intrusive, more like a standard lemon such as Dior Sport, the main note remained lavender but sophisticated with the pharmaceutical sweetness of anise, and the leather was very light. I really liked it and decided to buy it for summer. The problem arose when I wore it on my skin: it transformed into something extremely boring, just lavender and a shrill bergamot throwing direct jabs at my nose. I could perceive nothing else. I place it in the depressing category alongside Lancôme Hypnose and La Nuit de l’Homme. I timed the longevity at three-quarters of an hour and the trail is moderate-soft, a grotesquely mediocre performance. Regarding elegance, obviously it differs according to taste; there are very few I consider truly elegant; one of them is Tom Ford Noir. Rating: A pile of rubbish; the lavender mothball in my wardrobe smells better and lasts much longer.

A fragrance that smells good only up to a point; you have to overapply it all day, something that for its price it shouldn’t be. The longevity is terrible; it lasts nothing, absolutely nothing.
An exquisite fragrance depending on the skin, one of those not everyone can wear. When I tried it, it looked beautiful on me and lasted ten hours or more.
I detect a slightly sweet citrus opening with bergamot, a lavender I never perceived much in my case (not like the one in Pour Homme by D&G), and a plum note. After four hours, something spicy becomes noticeable, I don’t know if from the nutmeg or juniper berries with a touch of cinnamon. After eight hours, the sensation is somewhat confused, perhaps patchouli and a musky impression. After twelve hours, residual patchouli and labdanum, maybe a soft amber. The best part is the opening, which lasts for about two hours. Moderate trail, but with over-application you can achieve something heavier for the first two or three hours; afterwards it remains moderate and ends skin-deep. Longevity over twelve hours using about 1.3 ml. I see it as a mid-season scent, for autumn and winter. Without being charmed at all, I found it better performed than Gucci by Gucci.
I wouldn’t recommend it. I don’t know if it’s my pH, but on me it lasts a maximum of two hours. In my humble opinion, the scent is very boring. For the price, which is very high, it’s not worth it. One of the worst fragrance purchases I’ve made.
Totally agree with Olorami; it smells like a man. On my skin, it lasts more than twelve hours and I didn’t have to reapply. Here we enter the pH of each individual: for some it will be a marvel, as in my case, and for others there won’t be that chemistry the creator intended when he says only one extra ingredient is needed to activate it. Undoubtedly, buying my custom bottle was a very good decision.
A top cocktail scent, but be warned: a cocktail lasts only two or three hours. What’s the point of a trail then? Don’t break the kimonos; give what it has to give, at the right moment and nothing more. As it should be. Learn that the trail doesn’t tell you when to wear it.
I bought it because it certainly smells good. I’ve never been hooked on Gucci fragrances, but this one is delicious and masculine. Its drawback is the trail and longevity: the first hour lasts about half an hour, then another hour, and the second phase lasts four or five hours but only skin-deep. Only someone within 20 cm can tell it smells good (your partner). You feel your skin smelling nice, but… nobody else notices.

I understand the criticisms, but the overall verdict isn’t fair. I’ve had the bottle since the beginning; first I didn’t use it due to other pursuits, then because my ex gave it to me and it evoked happy memories in the Vall d’Aran, surrounded by greenery and wine. When everything ended, I thought of those days with a certain nostalgia. By the way, my cat used the drawer and the atmosphere became sad and nostalgic, just like this perfume. The overall opinion hasn’t been fair. It’s not that bad or generic. It is a well-constructed fresh spicy scent for daily or office use, simply to smell good. Classic notes: bergamot, nutmeg, lavender, anise and cinnamon, finishing with patchouli. Fresh, spicy and clean, without the smell of cheap cologne. The development is interesting; the cinnamon gives it an oriental touch without losing freshness. The performance is weak but not poor: it projects well for the first two hours and lasts five or six hours on the skin, but on clothes it lasts much longer. I recommend liberal application. I’m glad I recovered it and saw its humble beauty.
Pleasant, but I expected more from Gucci. It lacks intensity, presence and personality. It comes across as shy and generic, nothing impactful. Perhaps it is for personal or office wear. It is not ideal for nights out or dates unless you reapply every 50 minutes. There are masterpieces in the house’s past, but it stands out little in modern times. It reveals itself as flat, not novel and unjustified by the cost. That said, the bottle is magnificent.
Good on its own. It was a gift I hadn’t used for a long time until guilt got the better of me and I tried it in the evening. It smells elegant, like a luxury hotel air freshener. It lasts about five hours with seven sprays and has two hours of projection. It is light for temperate climates, fresh but not for heat, due to spaced-out notes that can be irritating. It’s not cheap and that disappoints me a little; I pay for scents and longevity, not for bottles. I would recommend it for young people aged 20 to 35, in cooler weather, for daytime use, ideal for dates or quiet meals.
I bought this thinking it suited my skin, which is heavy and struggles with fresh scents. On my skin it lasts over 14 hours and on clothes for a whole day. The opening is divine, though it fades in 20 minutes, followed by spicy notes with a sillage of about two metres for roughly three hours. In the heat, the sillage is short. With eight sprays, it can be detected throughout the office for about eight hours. Women find it very masculine and nothing generic. Don’t trust brands as it doesn’t smell the same on everyone. High price, medium sillage, but it can be unforgettable.

I’m not one to leave bad reviews, but this smells good for the price and brand. It is simple and fresh, yet no one will ask what you’re wearing because other perfumes are eating you out of house and home. If you’re looking for something to pop on before heading to the supermarket and coming back, it’s yours, but it won’t last more than an hour on the skin. There are more enduring options at Mercadona. Notes of lavender, juniper and bergamot. I can picture myself in a white tee in spring. Sillage is skin-deep.

GUCCI MADE TO MEASURE: My latest purchase. I hunted for it for ages, but the price was almost impossible, so I gave up—until a rare perfume supplier offered me a 150ml bottle for $100 and I simply couldn’t resist. First, I had to tell my wife it was a one-off deal and ask her to understand; she agreed without a problem, of course, with a condition: a pair of boots. The scent is fresh, pleasant, soapy and floral, sophisticated and uniquely beautiful. It is neither pretentious nor loud, but subtle and gentle, with a curious personality and distinction. It smells educated, orderly and well-mannered. It denotes a singular charm and, although it resembles several other proposals, it keeps its distance from them. Its aroma is rich, well-constructed and undeniably good, though frankly it doesn’t quite reach magnificent status. I think that’s why the name: if they wanted to achieve something ‘measured’, they did. It is modest and prudent, yet charming and magical. Perhaps it could have been a masterpiece or a gem, but in the end, it is merely pretty, agreeable and barely outstanding. In my opinion, it has much potential that was never fully realised. All in all, I liked it. A fragrance for collectors. I use it for any day, season, situation or time of day. It works well for dates. Scent: 10. Projection: Moderate, close for 2 hours. Longevity: 6 hours. Recommended only for collectors.

I told my wife it was a one-off bargain and she understood, of course, in exchange for a pair of boots. The scent is fresh, soapy and floral; very sophisticated yet unpretentious, with a curious and polite personality. It smells rich and well-constructed, though it doesn’t quite reach masterpiece status; it’s a modest fragrance with charm. There is plenty of potential that wasn’t fully exploited.
