It’s the one I like least of Zara’s four new releases. I smell it like a home air freshener or cleaning product. The dry-down improves and sweetens, but to get there I have to endure a scent I dislike. It doesn’t smell like perfume, but like air freshener. A pity because Fabrice Pellegrin is a co-author of perfumes I enjoy, such as Azzaro Wanted or Issey Miyake L’Eau Super Majeure. That said, of the four, it projects the best; I’ve worn it for three hours without needing to bring my arm close.
I’ll start by saying it’s the least favourite of the four new ‘author’ fragrances from Zara. I won’t go into detail because it smells like a home air freshener or cleaning product. As it dries down, it improves and sweetens, but to get there I have to endure a smell I dislike. It doesn’t smell like perfume, but rather a car air freshener. What a pity because Fabrice Pellegrin is a co-creator of perfumes I enjoy more, such as Azzaro’s Wanted or Issey Miyake’s L’Eau d’Issey Super Majeure. That said, of the four, it has the best projection; I’ve been able to smell it after three hours without bringing my arm close.
A potent spiced opening that relaxes into a vanilla that is sweet-free, creamy and slightly aggressive, very pleasant. It’s long-lasting with soft projection at first. I bought it because these spiced-vanilla perfumes comfort me. Totally unisex. I need to test the performance better, but it could be for personal enjoyment, cosy enough to wear to bed.
Incredible creamy vanilla effect that distorts into a green, almost mentholated base, spiced with a hint of coconut afterwards. Not gourmand but close (unisex). Clear five-hour duration, up to seven in a personal bubble. For daily wear and casual plans (office, walks) all year round, ideal in temperate climates. And it draws compliments.
I tested it in-store over several days: very prominent vanilla with long-lasting notes. The trail is limited and nothing invasive. To my taste, it suits autumn and winter better than heat. Not a priority; if it’s available in autumn I’ll buy it, otherwise I’ll look for better options.
£23 to the bin, just like the perfume. The vanilla scent gives me nausea. It reminds me of the Mandarin Flan dusting powder but worse. Don’t make my mistake and go to the store to smell it first.
Vanilla takes centre stage with a spiced opening and a soft, wearable green dry-down, finishing with a creamy sandalwood base. A simple, rich and utterly non-artificial scent. It doesn’t resemble Eau Duelle or Gris Charnel, though they share a family; if you like one, you’ll love the other. Unisex and super versatile. Lasts around six hours on skin with moderate projection. A lovely, distinct vanilla. Quality/price is 100%.
23€ to the bin, like the perfume. The vanilla makes me gag; it smells like Mandarin Flan powder but worse. Don’t make my mistake, go to a shop and smell it before buying…
Sounds like JHG vanilla vibes but with steroids; it has that extra kick that makes it brilliant. On my partner’s clothes it smells of coconut, while on my skin it’s sweet and feminine. I love it.
The first few minutes remind me very much of ‘Lune Feline’. I don’t find it anything like Eau Duelle. I really like its scent.

It smells like custard powder or rice pudding. It’s not unpleasant, but more than a fragrance, it feels like you’re eating a pudding. Longevity and sillage are brief. After an hour, the vanilla starts to evoke coconut. The bottle is very elegant, giving the impression of an expensive perfume, but it’s certainly not your go-to scent due to the lack of packaging. If you like sweet, soft fragrances, you might find its charm, especially at the reduced price of £15.99.
To me, it smells like the beach, like typical Hawaiian Tropic tanning oil. Vanilla and coconut in a mess. I like it; very cool summer vibes. It’s great for strolls and enjoying after a shower, but it’s a bit much for everyday wear.
Smells very much of vanilla, nothing spectacular; I suppose it meets expectations given the discounted price. In my case, the atomiser is horrible, the worst I’ve encountered. I bought three from this Zara line and they all have the same issue.
Coco and vanilla with a hint of musk… not bad, but the atomiser is the worst I’ve ever used.
Bought it on discount for fifteen dollars, but it comes with a different cap from the first version that doesn’t fit at all, and the atomiser is terrible, with a short, weak spray. I have to overapply to smell good. The opening is spicy with cardamom and pepper, peppery and mentholated at first, even causing sneezes. Then it becomes powdery and vanilla-scented, a dusty sweetness; another review says it smells like custard and that’s true. That’s the entire development. I’m not sure if it’s my batch, but the performance is weak. Projection is regular for forty-five minutes, then it only smells on the skin. It does revive with movement, giving off bursts. Lasts three to four hours on skin, similar to Vibrant Leather Oud; unlikely to last longer, need to reapply. In conclusion, a mature, semi-formal aroma, suitable for the office or less formal occasions, better in autumn; in winter it lacks depth and sweetness.
Attempts to smell like mildly spicy vanilla, but upon drying reveals that powdery note which is disgusting; in my case, it gives me nausea and a headache. Terrible. Fortunately, the bottle has a screw cap, so it can be refilled with pharmacy alcohol and serves as a disinfectant.
A vanilla cake soaked in merengue milk. An excellent fragrance that is, by right, my top pick. I bought it on promotion for eight euros, so I ended up with twelve backups.

Starts with cardamom on the upswing, intense and green. Then it dries down to a creamy sandalwood blended with vanilla; it might seem like coconut, but it’s just a sensation. Ideal all year round, perfect for summer evenings or heading to the chiringuito with a cocktail. It doesn’t evolve much and lacks nothing. Smells like a niche fragrance from a renowned perfumer at a laughable price. Lasts about six hours, just right for going out for a drink. What a shame Zara lets these little gems go.
Opens with cardamom in a vein, intense and green. Then dries down to a creamy sandalwood blended with vanilla; gives a coconut sensation even though it’s not listed. Ideal all year round, perfect for summer nights or heading to a beach bar. No significant evolution, and it doesn’t need one. Smells niche, like a renowned perfumer, at a bargain price. Lasts about six hours, ideal for going out for a drink. What a pity Zara is discontinuing these little gems.
Quite special and unique to my nose; starts resinous and spicy, reminiscent of pine. Lasts and projects just enough.
