Mayar Cherry Intense by Lattafa Perfumes

My sister gifted it to me, and although I haven’t used it much, it pleasantly surprised me at close range. I adore cherry-scented perfumes, but the smell wasn’t what I imagined from the notes: it is very sweet, potent at the start, and can make you feel a bit dizzy. The sillage and longevity seem weak, but it is compensated by how delicious it is. I am frustrated that I can’t identify it; it smells like something familiar. It is sweet, but not childish; it is elegant and sexy. I will use it for night plans. It is NOT a dupe of the Black Opium Over Red, nor do they resemble each other; the cherry in the Over Red is more intense and natural, less sweet. In the Mayar, it is like a caramel, and it doesn’t resemble the Sweet Lolita Lempicka either. Each has its own personality; they are excellent for layering.

If you’re looking for a cold-weather perfume that is elegant, sweet, and seductive, and you enjoy gourmand scents, buy this. I barely notice the strawberry, only at the beginning before it fades. I detect nothing of bergamot or patchouli. I like it very much for going out to dinner or on colder days. You can boost the sweetness by layering with a vanilla or a cherry/raspberry/red fruit mist, and it becomes incredible. On my skin, it’s literally black chocolate with a touch of vanilla and a very well-executed alcoholic cherry. Lasts 5 hours on skin and over 10 on clothes, plus leaves a trail. The price is excellent, but be careful as the high essence content can stain clothes.

A brutal cherry perfume. Usually, I find cherry scents disgusting due to the cough-syrup smell, but this is on another level: cherry bathed in semi-bitter chocolate liqueur, intense and deep, not cloying at all. Very sexy; I’ve received many compliments. Lasts 10 hours (projects less after a few hours but lingers on the skin much longer). It’s a winter-night scent, but I don’t mind and have worn it in full summer mornings. Highly recommended; I already have a decant and am buying the large bottle.

I’ve just received it. Truthfully, it’s not bad but I didn’t love it. You can smell the cocoa, some almond, and the cherry, but there’s something synthetic that makes it a bit tiring. It’s sweet and the vanilla is noticeable. It doesn’t become overwhelming, but it’s not a 10/10. I’d give it a 7/10. Maybe it’s my pH… or the hype versus reality. That said, it lasts a long time and projects more than the perfume it’s inspired by.

I bought it blindly for the cherry notes and loved it; honestly, I’d never bought a cherry-scented one before, and it impressed me. Ideal for temperate climates, day-to-night, spring and autumn, and for me, it’s feminine.

The Mayar Cherry Intense wasn’t what I expected. Perhaps I should have tried it in colder weather, but upon spraying, I sensed a semi-bitter chocolate with an equally bitter cherry essence. I don’t know why, but I expected something sweeter and it turned out to be much more chocolatey, though a bit bitter for my taste. That said, it lasts, it’s cheap, looks beautiful, and leaves a trail.

I absolutely love it! Perfect for autumn and evenings. It smells like a chocolate cherry bonbon in a very soft liqueur. It shifts from intense chocolate to a warm, subtly vanillaised cherry. I adore it; its only drawback is the longevity; I feel the trail doesn’t last more than 3 or 4 hours. I suggest trying it before buying; I don’t think it’s the best decision if you buy it blindly.

Smells of cocoa and cherries, but not those sweet, juicy cherries typical of gourmands; it’s quite bitter overall. I read the notes and expected something more intense and sweet, but the cocoa dominates and the cherry isn’t very prominent. Personally, I didn’t like it. Don’t recommend buying blindly; if you like sweet, alcoholic, and ‘dark’ scents, give it a try.

I detect cherry and slightly sweet cocoa with a very spiced oriental touch. It doesn’t smell as gourmand as the reviews suggest; I can really smell the spice! It comes across strangely, though I don’t dislike it; it adds a sexy point, more for evening wear. I expected more cocoa and sweet cherry like the Black Opium, but they don’t resemble each other at all.

⚠️ Beware of the hype. It smells intensely of sugared cherry with cocoa, which is nice, but it smells childish or juvenile. It’s a simple scent with no phases, projecting an innocent aura. Nothing like the BO Over Red, which is sensual and adult with several stages. I use it for errands and won’t be repurchasing it, plus it has poor longevity.

I definitely love it! It’s incredibly versatile, suitable for any occasion and age. I just wish its projection was greater, because that cherry, vanilla, and cacao sweetness is addictive; I’d love to be inside a bubble of this aroma. Mind you, I’m not usually a fan of sweet perfumes, but this has won my heart. Nothing more to add!

The richest cherry perfume I’ve ever tried; I love it. I started wearing it today; it needs macerating, but I don’t think it will disappoint. Update: it has a great trail and longevity on skin; I received many compliments.

It’s a sweet chocolate with an acidic cherry filling. I thought it would have a deep cocoa like Nebras, but it is lighter. It smells nice, but isn’t very special. Ideal for cold nights, not very versatile.

I didn’t like it on my skin at all; it felt very synthetic, like children’s syrup. What a pity, as I was hoping for a cherry perfume and had read good recommendations.

To be honest, I tried it the other day and it lasted quite a while, but on my skin the bitter cocoa predominated and I didn’t detect any cherries, so I lost interest.
