Odyssey Black Forest by Armaf

I try everything, but this one just doesn’t suit me. On my skin, it’s pure wood and tobacco 🤷🏻♀️🤌🏻. I’m saving it for autumn/winter to layer with something feminine and fruity. Scent and projection: beast mode.

I’d give it 7/10. It has a robust structure and sells well, but it’s predictable and heavily dependent on the gourmand trend. It’s purely feminine; I don’t see a man wearing it. It smells like an elegant dessert, like a girl with burgundy lips stepping out of an expensive patisserie. It’s super sweet, with a cherry hint that fades quickly, leaving only the sweetness. There are spices that give it an edge for going out at night. It’s not fresh; it’s warm. The caramel and vanilla can become cloying, sticky, and even synthetic for some. The dates add a thick sweetness, almost like syrup or molasses. To wear it properly, a maximum of six sprays, nothing more; it’s too much for the office or casual use. Its sweet and spicy composition is good for social events, dates, or elegant outings. Would I recommend buying it? Try it yourself, but from my side, I say no; there are better things out there. Does it get compliments? In seven uses, not once.

If you’re looking for an elegant, warm, and potent gourmand for the evening, this is your perfume. But if you’re expecting originality, a cherry-led composition, a light sweetness, or lots of compliments, brace yourself for disappointment.

Very delicious; I tested a drop and it lasted over 10 hours. What I noticed most was a delightful cherry present at the start, which blends with the cinnamon as if coming straight from a khamsa, plus the praline that always accompanies it. I liked it a lot, but I’m unsure whether to buy it; the price is high because it’s new, so I’ll smell it again before deciding.

It has that Lost Cherry with Smoke touch, ideal for autumn and winter, very elegant. I give it an 8, although the atomiser is one of those typical Armaf ones, a bit messy.
