Smells like pineapple, almost like Polo 67
What a joy to stumble upon this new Zara EDP; it’s clear they’ve gone all out with their fragrance line, and it’s much appreciated, especially given the price, which is absolutely bonkers that you can get something like this. As for the notes, while there is certainly a hint of pineapple swirling around, the packaging clearly states cardamomo in the top, peony in the heart, and cashmere wood in the base. I was surprised by the pineapple because, although it’s perceptible, the scent leans more towards a floral-woody profile than a fruity one. Overall, it’s nothing particularly surprising or out of the ordinary, but it’s made to please everyone and add that elegant touch, perfect for an informal date, a daytime drink, or the office (provided you don’t over-spray). The longevity is a bit just about there, but given the price, I don’t mind reapplying as many times as needed. I can also detect a slightly woody-salty nuance in its dry-down, as if YSL and Invictus had an illegitimate child named Zara Mexico. Summary: Scent 8/10 Longevity 6/10 Sillage 8/10 Value for money 9/10
What a delightful surprise with this new Zara EDP; it’s clear they’ve stepped up their game, and for the price, it’s madness that it smells so good. Although there is a touch of pineapple, the packaging says cardamomo, peony, and cashmere, and it is true that it smells more floral-woody than fruity. It’s nothing revolutionary but everyone likes it, ideal for dates, going out, or the office without being overpowering. The longevity is just about there, but for the price, I don’t mind reapplying. In the end, it smells as if YSL and Invictus had a child named Zara Mexico. Scent 8/10, Longevity 6/10, Sillage 8/10, Value for money 9/10
