It’s a mango, but with something more; for example, in Vulcan Feu the mango is the star of the show. In this fragrance there are several stars, meaning the mango isn’t what dominates. To be honest, it’s a good perfume if you like perfumes with mango in them.
I think Zara have been lying about the notes since previous collections, trying to stop designer houses from coming down on them. They brought out a couple of EDTs that were identical to ‘Y’ by YSL and SWY by Emporio Armani, with listed ingredients that had nothing to do with the smell. Well, it’s the same with this one. It smells incredibly similar to ‘Guilty’ by Gucci (EDP version) without the chilli, the aniseed or the salt. It’s the same DNA, but a different vibe (it’s not as loud or impactful, and I see it more for daytime/an early evening out, but it’s the same bloody smell). Maybe it’s a note that the two have in common and that my brain picks up on, but if not, a clear dupe for 60 euros less. Longevity and projection… pretty awful, to be honest. It’s one of those Zara ones that you’ll definitely need to reapply after going out, unless you’re out for less than 3-4 hours. On me it lasted just over an hour on skin before starting to become a skin scent as soon as that time passed. The sillage is also pretty “dirty”. It’s not at all elegant or clear (like AXE deodorant). I don’t know, it’s €22.95… Are there better things? In the men’s section, not many, honestly, but it’s not top-tier or anything that’ll blow your mind. I recommend giving it a look.
