Very on brand. I like the plum; it’s not overpowering, blends well with the heliotrope and musk, which is all that remains after two hours. It’s elegant without pretension, pleasant, but similar to the other Narcisos, except Ambreé which breaks the mould.
I love it. Smells like clean, soft musk soap with sweet plum, flowers, and a powdery touch. Reminds me of Chloe but with a different twist.
What a lovely, delicate, and tender aroma. A different flower from the previous ones, fresh and refined. I fell in love with it in the store, but it didn’t last long on my skin and clothes, only about 3 hours, which was disappointing. Worth it, but for the price I’d expect more longevity. Wish there was an INTENSE version!
Too musky with suede; the plum and heliotrope get very muted. If you have oily skin like me, better forget it, as the musk interacts poorly and the result is very different from what was expected.
Powdery, creamy, and sweet. The heliotrope and plum notes at the base are super long-lasting, but they make me feel sick. Others might love it, it’s a gamble, but listen to me.
Absolutely not. It’s a brutal suede scent, wintry and nocturnal. If you like something potent with a trail, it’s worth a try, but it gave me a headache and stuck to my arm even after washing it off.
Nothing like the other Narcisos. Smells strong and on my skin it reads as super masculine, which isn’t my style.
Musc Noir smells of very ripe plum, sweet but with a bitter hint at the base and a slight velvety floral touch. If you find Narciso’s musks too potent, you won’t like this. It’s a somewhat dirty musk (in my opinion, not too much), which gives it that suede air; I think on some skin types it could be interpreted as urine, though it suits me fine as I generally get along well with musks. It’s feminine and sensual without being overpowering. In fact, it doesn’t seem as dark as its name suggests; I suppose it’s due to the house’s minimalist style. I would use it all year round, except on very hot days as it can become cloying. Longevity 10+ hours, soft to moderate trail.
Smells of very ripe plum, sweet with a hint of bitterness at the base and a velvety floral touch. If the Narciso musks seem too potent to you, this won’t be for you. It’s a somewhat dirty musk (not too much), giving air to the suede; on some skins it might sound like urine, but it suits me well. It’s feminine and sensual without being heavy. It doesn’t seem as dark as its name suggests, perhaps due to the house’s minimalist style. I’d wear it all year except in heat, as it can become cloying. Longevity 10+ hours, soft to moderate trail.
The opening is very fruity, rich, plum-like but also brings red fruits to mind. When it dries down, it keeps the ripe plum and becomes very musky with a touch of suede; it’s pleasant but I like it less than at the start. Intimate trail and 3-4 hours longevity only. For some reason, it reminds me of Matière Noir by Louis Vuitton but without the rose. Scent 5/10 Longevity 3.5/10 Trail 4/10 Value for money 4/10 Versatility 4/10 Packaging 7/10 Would I buy again? No, I didn’t buy it.
Musc Noir opens with a dusty plum that becomes increasingly powdery thanks to the heliotrope and musk. However, it maintains a soft underlying sweetness. The final dry-down takes a 180-degree turn: it smells like suede and sweat (not unpleasant, but very animalistic). For some reason, it reminds me of a modern version of L’Heure Bleue by Guerlain. It’s not that it resembles it much, but it gives me that impression: a personal and comforting perfume that conveys calm and sweetness. In short, it’s pretty, feminine, and I think it works better as a daily wear for mid-season and cold weather. It makes me think of expensive beauty products. What’s its negative point? It projects very little and lasts about 3 hours on skin, which is indecent for an EdP. Pleasant: 7/10 Interesting: 6/10 Versatile: 7/10 Original: 6/10
I’ve tried Musc Noir several times. If it were from another house, I certainly wouldn’t give it so many chances, but I’m a fan of Narciso Rodríguez. In my opinion, this proposal isn’t worth it. Its fruity opening promises more than it delivers when it dries down, turning into a suede that I find more elegant in other blends like the Trussardi with lavender and patchouli; the Musc Noir with plum and musk leaves a somewhat sugary aftertaste that feels a bit vulgar and doesn’t convince me. Also, the performance is mediocre; it stays very close to the skin with poor longevity. A great disappointment.
Update: I still don’t like it. At times, it smells like a cheap 80s/90s cologne from Chile, the purple-capped Coral… anyway, next. I obtained a decant, and glad I didn’t buy it blindly. It’s a ripe plum that disappears quickly to give way to suede and musk. I don’t know… it doesn’t convince me at first… I’ll finish using my decant to give it another chance. I think I expected more…
To me, it’s very feminine, light, soft and sweet. The typical rose water, although it doesn’t say it contains it, the blend reminds me of it. More than a perfume, it seems like a room spray or a post-bath cologne. It’s comfortable and pleasant, but it lacks body or persistence in its evolution.
Simple but BEAUTIFUL. It’s fruity, slightly acidic at the start, with an earthy hint and very powdery. It doesn’t project much on me, lasting 5-6 hours on skin, but the fragrance is so exquisite that I don’t mind. I want it; I feel like a skin scent.
It’s not bad, but it doesn’t stand out. Simple, with a certain plum note. Personally, I don’t see any ‘noir’ in it, but well, it left me quite indifferent, to the point where I want to finish it quickly…
It sounds very refined and delicate. It leaves no trail and doesn’t last at all on my skin, unfortunately. I’ve ended up using it at home just to reapply. It’s a pity because I absolutely love it. I tried the Musc Noir Rose, which is also very rich and sweeter.
Fresh, subtle and addictive. Narciso never disappoints; with its musk and florals, it elevates the scent. Smells like juicy, sweet plums—no candy sugar or cloying sweetness, but a pleasant, slightly powdery sweetness, warmed by a touch of fine suede that gives it an animalistic air. The musk is elegant and characteristic from start to finish. The combination is spectacular. Don’t expect to fill the room; it’s meant to be enjoyed on skin and at close range. A beautiful, repeatable scent. Musc Noir has one flaw: it lasts incredibly short on my skin, which is rare for an EdP and, given the price, is a key issue. I’m surprised by the low sillage, perhaps due to the heat or my skin type. If you seek bright, beautiful, rich perfumes, this is the one. You’ll love it and want to reapply (because it doesn’t last long 😜). Would I buy it? I’m not sure. The poor longevity bothers me, but I would definitely try the Rose or the Pure Musc, which are delicious and have better staying power. All are distinct and combinable, though they shine on their own. PS: If they reformulate, please improve the longevity to do it justice. Longevity 6/10 Quality 10/10 Addictive 10/10 ❤️❤️❤️😜
Elegant, subtle, and addictive. Narciso doesn’t disappoint; with the musk and flowers, it places it in another league. Smells of juicy, sweet plums, not like sweets or tiring, but pleasant, slightly powdery, with fine suede that adds warmth and an animal touch. The musk is elegant and characteristic. Don’t expect to fill the room; it’s for personal enjoyment and short distances. It’s a beautiful and addictive scent. But there’s a catch: the longevity is very scarce on my skin, lasting not even a breath, which is strange for an Eau de Parfum and something to consider given the price. If you like bright, beautiful, and elegant perfumes, this is yours. You’ll enjoy it immensely and want to wear it all the time (because it doesn’t last long 😜). Would you buy Musc Noir? I don’t know, the poor longevity puts me off, but I would buy its flankers Musc Noir Rose or Pure Musc, which are delicious and the latter has great fixation. They are distinct and shine on their own. PS: if it’s reformulated, please include more fixative to give it its due place; it’s a pity not to buy it for that reason. Longevity 6/10, Quality 10/10, Addictive 10/10 ❤️❤️❤️😜
I have a small sample and I love the opening: it’s a very sweet, mysterious, and sparkling plum (one of the few fruity notes I like), with lots of powdery texture. It’s like bathing in a cloud of mysterious plum powder and the bottle is perfect. For a moment I thought I’d found my signature scent, but after a minute it fades and disappears (Jo Malone ones usually last well for me). I’ve tried other Narcissos that last a long time, but this one lasts nothing.
I’m reviewing this perfume again. It’s unbelievable that within months and in a different season it performs so differently. We’re in autumn and upon trying it again, I reaffirm how incredibly beautiful and addictive it is; moreover, the longevity has improved massively. In summer it lasted a breath, about 2 hours, but now it lasts 6-7 hours and my goodness, what a wonder. I’m in love with the scent, I adore it and it fascinates me. It’s so feminine and stunning I don’t know how to explain it. I didn’t just buy the 100ml size, I also have a 30ml one for travel. It’s a scent that creates incredible chemistry on my skin and those nearby notice and compliment it. I don’t want this perfume to ever disappear! A wonder.
It’s a fairly pleasant perfume. The opening seems a bit strong, but once it settles on the skin, it’s very pleasant, highlighting the talc and sweetness. It has a musky touch with lots of plum and white musk; the first time I smelled it, it seemed like a ‘clean’ perfume, very sensual, refined, and elegant. I recommend it for spring and summer, or for daily wear. The packaging is simple, transparent with a black cap, but pleasant. The atomiser is powerful. Try testing it before buying, as longevity varies according to your skin’s pH and hydration.
A tremendously elegant perfume, musky but not overpowering. I’d prefer more plum and less suede, which I don’t fancy. Overall, a definite success. Edit to say that after four hours, absolutely nothing remains on my skin.
Elegant, cheerful, delicate, accomplished, sophisticated, and not for everyone. Important to test before buying as it can become acidic on the skin. I bought it looking for the ‘Musc Noir Rose’ flanker and what a great success. It’s like a juicy plum wrapped in heliotrope and musk; the fragrance is beyond adjectives. It’s light, sweet in moderation, and not heavy. Its only flaw? Lasting so little. Projection? It’s intimate, I don’t see it as a disadvantage, everyone looks for something different. I think everyone should try it. PS: layering with Pure Musc is madness.
An unexpected surprise, both good and bad. Good: clean and very sexy scent. If I could smell something forever, I’d choose this. To me, it smells of white flowers, musk, and leather; it’s extremely suggestive and feminine. Bad: it’s useless. It has no longevity, sillage, or projection. Literately after 5 minutes, neither you nor anyone else can smell it. We all know perfume performance is questionable nowadays, but Musc Noir goes beyond that. It’s like trying to write with an inkless pen or cooking a dish you can’t eat.
I love this scent, but it literally lasts a breath. I use it after a shower in the evening because it’s comforting. I’d only buy it again for that specific purpose: spraying something pleasant before bed, knowing it won’t overwhelm you.
I fell in love with this perfume on the second whiff. I made the mistake of testing it in the dry heat and the initial blast didn’t suit me, but over time its evolution is simply beautiful. Narciso works the musk perfectly: it smells clean, elegant, and ethereal, ideal for daytime wear. It’s an uncommon scent and not mass-produced. I adore it! I recommend testing it on skin and letting it settle for a few minutes before buying.
It’s one of my favourite perfumes for spring and summer. It smells like a ‘clean’ plum to me and is very pleasant. The only drawback is the longevity; after 5 hours it’s barely noticeable, but I keep reapplying throughout the day. It makes me feel good, and despite that, I think I’ll repurchase when it runs out because it’s such a light aroma.
I picked up this 150ml gem yesterday to complete my collection. After trying L’Interdit Rouge and Cristal Noir, I decided to sample this flanker and fell in love at first sniff. At first, I thought it didn’t last, but it was the other perfumes’ fault as they have more punch. I couldn’t resist: I already own Musc Noir Rose, which is spectacular, and this is softer, perfect for Argentina’s autumn with 15 degrees and coastal humidity. It’s elegant, soft, and seductive. It lasts about 5 hours on skin and up to 7 on clothes. Despite being sold cheaply due to its longevity, if you catch it on offer, don’t think twice. Perfect for treating yourself or gifting.
I own Pure Musc by Narciso Rodríguez; I was fascinated when I tried it in the perfumery, but now that I own it, I like it but not as much as that day. Very excited, I tried Musc Noir with the intention of it being my next acquisition… Fortunately I did, because on my skin and for my nose, it smelled like a freshly bought disposable nappy soiled with a newborn’s deposition… Sounds strong, but that is the aroma my nose perceived!!
One of the perfumes I can’t live without. A sexy, intimate fragrance, ideal for a date with prospects (wink wink). Lasts well on skin (approx 6 hours), though it doesn’t project much. It invites closeness. The plum is well-balanced with the musk; it’s clean but invites dirty things (another wink wink).

In my perception, an exquisite fragrance, what a beautiful aroma! On my skin, it feels wonderful, sweet, fresh, musky, comforting, velvety, and slightly powdery. It’s not a great sillage (sometimes I prefer that), it lasts about six or seven hours, and those who get close can smell it. I bought it blind and it was love at first sight; I already had Musc Noir Rose, which is similar but with more sillage, it’s sweeter and fruitier, and I love both.
Very clean, fresh, floral, and soapy. It was the only one missing from the For Her line and I loved it, a daytime version of Musc Noir Rose. I just need to try it in layering 🙂
Does anyone notice it smells almost exactly like Dolce&Gabbana Pour Femme? Especially when dry down. Yes, I like it, how could I not if I adore that comforting feminine and elegant scent? They share many notes: musk, vanilla, patchouli, jasmine, rose, heliotrope, amber, sandalwood, bergamot, tonka bean, cedar, lemon, almond, and orchid. Musc Noir has praline, plum, pear, neroli, and vetiver, while D&G carries marshmallows, honey, caramel, raspberry, neroli.
As soft as most perfumes from this brand. I own Narciso Poudrée and they gifted me a sample of this one which I had tucked away; I opened it out of curiosity today. I liked it very much; at first I couldn’t distinguish it well because I had another perfume on, but after a while a powdery, clean, and very subtle aroma reached my nose. It has the typical ‘NR’ musk, with heliotrope and suede giving it a talc-like sensation; honestly, I didn’t notice much plum. I think it’s for any occasion and makes you feel feminine. I’ve added it to my wishlist.
Sorry, but what a horrible thing. It smells synthetic to me and scares me so much I can’t even analyse the notes; straight into the bin. I bought four miniatures of Narciso Rodríguez and at least I liked the Pure Musc, although it’s identical to Gucci Bloom.
What a wonder! It makes me feel super chic and feminine, nothing generic. They gifted me the 30ml version and I finished it quickly, so I bought the 150ml. It’s soft, clean, and soapy; the plum is divine alongside the narcissus musk. It doesn’t last long nor project much, so I always keep the small one in my bag, and its softness is never a bother.
I’ve had the bottle since 2021, and over time the fragrance has improved significantly, just like its longevity. It used to last only two hours; now it lasts around eight. Totally in love with this perfume ❤️
Pura Sensualidad begins with a juicy plum that softens a potent heliotrope, creating a modern, elegant powdery effect. It soon transitions into a creamy, enveloping suede, finishing on clean, refined skin. It’s a delicious, unisex, and versatile scent, perfect for everyday wear or the office without being intrusive. My rating: 8.5/10. Musc Noir evokes rich, sensual skin, ideal for those seeking sophistication in the everyday.
