Bought this blind based on the notes and the price. The packaging is incredibly simple; it’s rare to expect such understated elegance from an Arabian perfume. The bottle feels substantial, made of quality glass with a solid cap that closes securely. The scent is simply wonderful: a sparkling sweet vanilla with soft, powdery notes bathed in rich chocolate. It’s like a confit lemon tart drowned in chocolate—utterly indulgent. Reminds me of Devotion but more potent, with more vanilla, more confit, and more chocolate. It projects strongly from the start, sits nicely at 30cm after two hours, and lasts on the skin for up to eight hours. Within minutes, the white flowers bloom, featuring an intensely sweet jasmine and a creamy note reminiscent of panna cotta. It’s a vanilla-infused lemon pie with chocolate shavings and a hint of rum; delicious without being cloying. You can detect the tonka bean and musk; the tonka provides incredible sweetness while the musk adds a woody touch with tremendous longevity. Although marketed as unisex, I find it very feminine, ideal for cold or mild seasons (in summer, it’s perfect for evening wear). It lasts for hours on the skin, blooms with body heat, and lingers on clothes for several days. Highly recommended.
If Al Rehab’s ‘Soft’ and ‘Choco Musk’ had a child, it would be Musk Halima. It smells intensely citrusy, yet in a sweet way, like a lemon tart with dark chocolate. Upon drying down, I notice a powdery touch, a blend of citrus and sweet dust. I’ve enjoyed it so far and would like to give it more opportunities to see how it evolves.
