Try four samples before buying the bottle, as I’ve noticed they smell different. The brand claims it’s due to natural materials, but it doesn’t quite sound natural to me. On the samples, it smelled more like the sea, whereas in the bottle, it’s more musky and powdery, though all those notes are there. The dry-down is similar; that musk is both sweet and bitter at the same time. The performance is ideal: it lasts a long time and is noticeable without being intrusive. Despite the slight difference, it’s already one of my top five favourites. Performance: 9/10, Artistry: 7/10, Versatility: 10/10. Final score: 9.5/10.

I tried Coreterno’s Oceanoir and was greatly surprised. At first, it’s a marine breeze with citrus, clean and luminous, like late afternoon by the sea. Then the saffron emerges, an unexpected and elegant twist. It’s like a ‘saffroned Megamare’: it has that oceanic power I love, but with a spicy touch that makes it warm and addictive. It lasts quite a while, projects well without being invasive. If you like marine scents but want something with more personality, this is worth it.
