That flower soon blends with an addictive sweetness that envelops without tiring. On my skin, the vanilla dominates until the very end: creamy, round, and with an indulgent touch that softens the initial force. It is precisely that mix between floral spark and sweetness that makes it unique, like a rebel with a leather jacket but a warm heart. It’s direct, intense, and full of personality. It doesn’t seek to please everyone, but when it fits, it’s a style statement.

Punk Motel by Coreterno is a game of contrasts that proves fatal. It begins with a hit of clean, characterful white rose, which soon blends into an addictive sweetness that doesn’t tire but envelops. On my skin, the vanilla takes over until the very end: creamy, round, and indulgent, softening that initial floral spark. It is precisely this blend that makes it unique: as if a rebel put on a leather jacket but kept a sweet heart. It’s direct, intense, and full of personality; it doesn’t seek everyone, but when it fits, it’s a style statement.

It’s hard to review this because, to be honest, I don’t feel it as a perfume. I received a sample alongside three others, and while the rest were noticeable on the skin, this… nothing! It got completely covered by the others, as if I hadn’t applied anything at all. I tested it on blotting paper and it was very soft, so I decided to shower and wear it alone. In the end, with clean skin, I did notice it: it’s very pleasant but extremely soft. It smells like a high-quality moisturiser, a creamy floral with green notes and subtle vanilla. The longevity is average; I went out and could still smell it clinging to my skin after five hours, but no one could detect it from a distance. By eight or nine hours, it was undetectable. On paper it’s still there, but mixed with the scent of the paper itself. The projection is weak. What surprised me most is how unoriginal it is: I expected something punk, groundbreaking, and intense given the name and perfumer, but it smells generic and soft. It could be a subtle option for everyday wear, but I wouldn’t buy a bottle; with Eau de Parfum, the effect is that of a body mist. Scent: 8, Longevity: 7, Projection: 5, Value for money: 4, Versatility: 9.5, Originality: 6, Overall: 7.5.

It got completely covered, as if I hadn’t applied anything. I tested it on blotting paper and it was soft, so I decided to shower and wear it alone to see what happened. In the end, with clean skin, it does show: it smells good, but very low-key. It’s a creamy scent, soft floral with green notes and an almost imperceptible vanilla base. It could be any high-end moisturiser. The longevity isn’t bad; I went out after showering and could still smell it clinging to my skin after five hours, but no one could smell it from a distance (with social distancing, it’s a real test, haha). By 6-7 hours at home it smelled faint, and by 8-9 hours nothing. On paper it’s still there, but so soft it blends with the paper’s scent. The longevity is average, but the projection is weak. I ordered the sample because, seeing the bottle, knowing it’s from a small house, that the perfumer is Luca Maffei, and that it’s called Punk Motel, I expected something groundbreaking, intense, different… something punk. But this isn’t punk, not even pop. It smells good, but it’s quite generic and very soft. Although it’s not a man’s perfume and could be an option for someone seeking something subtle for everyday wear, I wouldn’t buy the bottle.
