Here’s my second review. As I’m not an expert, for now I’ll only be talking about affordable perfumes. I don’t want anyone to splash out big money on something expensive based on my word alone 😅 (90% of my purchases are blind buys following recommendations on Fragrántica), but I can assure you I have no regrets. I absolutely love the ritual of receiving it, waiting until evening, opening the bottle, and with the excitement of discovering a treasure, spraying it on and enjoying it. I bought Pañaché because I saw it being compared to the original Rive Gauche (my scent, my signature for 20 years, my first great love lost forever after its reformulation). Upon spraying, it is the closest match I’ve found. If you want to feel that memory for a moment, it’s worth the £15. However, that similarity fades within seconds. What remains is a pleasant, talc-like and soapy scent, vintage without being animalic. My only drawback is that it smells very synthetic, with that lingering note of alcohol or bathwater, even if it is pleasant. Nevertheless, for that price and for that brief moment where my heart contracts remembering my beloved Rive Gauche, I would buy it again. Just like when a song plays and you feel the sting of your first love’s kiss. A huge hug to everyone crying over fragrances lost forever!
