About Prima Parte Lychee & Oud
Prima Parte Lychee & Oud: Zara's 2026 Scent by Jo Malone
Prima Parte Lychee & Oud is Zara's newest unisex fragrance, launched in 2026 and created by renowned perfumer Jo Malone. It belongs to the Oriental Floral family and offers a modern twist on the classic fruit-and-wood pairing.
The scent starts with lychee before moving into a neroli heart and finally settling on oud wood. It has been designed for men and women, and early user ratings give it an average score of 3.44 out of 5 from 32 ratings.
The lychee opening is fresh and juicy, with a tropical, almost aquatic edge. The initial sweetness is tempered by neroli in the heart, which lends a white-floral elegance and a delicate citrus bitterness.
Oud wood takes over in the base, adding a warm, resinous depth that lingers on the skin. The shift from the transparent top to the heavier base is what gives Prima Parte Lychee & Oud its distinctive personality: it feels bright at first and increasingly earthy towards the end.
Recorded accords for the fragrance list fruity, fresh, tropical, oud, white floral, citrus, fresh spicy, aquatic, green and floral notes. That broad set of descriptors suggests a sophisticated composition that can be read differently depending on the wearer's skin chemistry and the weather.
Jo Malone's involvement is evident in the clarity of the construction. There is no excessive overlap of ingredients; the three primary notes remain recognisable, while secondary accords are used to add texture and smooth the transitions between the fruity, floral and woody stages.
With only two written reviews so far, it is still early for a definitive verdict, but the existing 32 ratings suggest a measured reception.
Ideal for those who enjoy a fresh yet woody scent in the oriental floral style, particularly if you are drawn to lychee, neroli or a gentle oud. It is versatile enough for both daily wear and relaxed evening occasions.
Prima Parte Lychee & Oud is a well-balanced launch from Zara. Its juicy lychee top, soft neroli heart and warm oud base come together in a fragrance that feels contemporary, accessible and worth trying if you appreciate modern florals with a woody twist.

It’s a pleasant oud for all audiences. Nothing challenging or animalic.
It ends up being something generic like Invictus; the opening is very fleeting, with a lychee you’ll barely notice, and it dries down to a sweet amber base. Performance is perfect; it makes itself noticed a lot in every way. It’s very good for everyday wear and all year round.
