  • More than good value for the price; it has good staying power and is a more natural less outrageously strong version of La Vie Est Belle at a very very good price.

  • Exactly that with the low-cost Vie E Belle. As I don’t like Vie E Belle I went home without it despite its name and bottle sparking my curiosity. Instead I picked up a bottle of Zara Nuit.

  • Smells great but on me it lasts absolutely nothing; after half an hour it’s as if I hadn’t put anything on at all :(. I have another Zara one E.L from last year and its longevity is quite decent but this one doesn’t even come close.

  • I made a stop at Zara to kill time (I don’t have much to do) and remembered this perfume they display in the women’s section; I said, okay, let’s try. At first spray, it smells very sweet; I found it pleasant and an intensely strong scent and trail. About an hour after applying it, it seemed to me like a very heavy, spicy synthetic fruit smell, to the point that it blocked my nostrils, hehe, and that’s where I didn’t like it. I think it’s a scent only for women; even close to the skin, after 4 hours of application, I still perceive the blackcurrant and the iris… I think it works for women aged 17 to 30… very youthful.

  • For the price, it seems fair. At first impression, it seemed very sweet and floral, contrary to what others say; I didn’t find it similar to La Vie est Belle, but upon applying it and comparing it with the one I already own, it’s an absolute yes. It is very similar, although this one is a bit softer and simpler, not so loaded or invasive. I recommend it for those who like La Vie est Belle but it gives them a headache or they feel it is too strong. The longevity is poor, about 3 hours on my skin, but given the price, it’s not uncomfortable to reapply.

  • A somewhat peculiar perfume; I don’t find the resemblance to Lancôme’s La Vie est Belle despite having the same notes; it makes a difference when it lacks the jasmine and orange blossom. This perfume highlights the pear and blackcurrant very much; it gave me a scent like peach or mango, but apparently, it was the combination with the vanilla and praline that gave that sweet touch, very pleasant. For the price, it’s very good for a gift, although the longevity is short and the trail is weak. Edit: I’ve been using it a lot and it now reminds me more of La Vie est Belle, but of course, this is softer, not that monster that eats you with its scent, sweet, vanilla-infused, and talcum-powdery, but without reaching cloying; I’m enjoying it very much :).

It’s an exquisite perfume. I catch notes of vanilla sweetness and a hint of fruit and it lasts all day for me. I use it both day and night. I took the opportunity to buy it at Zara in the 200ml presentation; it’s the second bottle I’ve purchased since the first was 100ml. I recommend it wholeheartedly. It’s one of my favourites. It feels like the style of Natura’s Humor Noir which I bought a while ago; given the similarity I ended up gifting it to my sister hehe.

  • Clearly inspired by La Vie Est Belle very nice scent (perhaps a bit too sweet). It lacks the depth of Vie Est Belle but seems to last sufficiently (haven’t tested it on skin). Unisex? Well… I’m not sure if it’s for that many.

An exquisite perfume. I caught a scent of sweet vanilla, a touch of fruit, and it lasts all day. I use it for day and night. I took advantage of the Zara presentation in 200 ml and it’s the second bottle I’m buying; the first was 100 ml. I recommend it widely; it’s one of my favourites. It seems to be in the style of Natura’s Humor Noir; I bought it and, given the resemblance, I gifted it to my sister, hehe.

By no means unisex. I believe it is totally feminine in scent. Very sweet and fruity.

By no means unisex. I believe it is totally feminine as a fragrance. Very sweet and fruity.

  • Perfect. I think it’s for women aged 25 to 35 on fresh, spring, or autumnal days. The initial note is the tartness of blackcurrants, which persists over time; between that and the pear lies the vanilla, quite subtle, almost like chocolate bars or pralines. Perhaps there is an iris, but not a white floral. Who knows, on me it took on a curious aroma of rose petals, as if taking a petal and crushing it between two fingers. I gave it a few hours to perceive more scents, but it didn’t leave much; it lasted about 4 or 5 hours and then disappeared. The final note was patchouli, which is to be expected as it lacks a fixative, musk, amber, or sandalwood. What a pity; I think I’ll finish it quickly.

  • I don’t know if anyone else experiences this but when this perfume dries on my skin it smells like clothes that have dried poorly and retained dampness. It’s that characteristic smell when that happens and that’s exactly what it smells like. Unbearable for me what a pity; I was fully convinced to buy it and now I’m not.

It is true that it resembles La Vie est Belle, but I don’t see it as a clone or dupe. I consider it a soft, informal version, like a flanker. Unfortunately, it lasts very little and its trail is very faint, although being so economical, I wouldn’t mind using it again. It’s ideal for those who like La Vie est Belle but find it cloying or heavy; I stick with the original. Red Vanilla is quite soft; I’d wear it in spring or autumn.

It is true that it resembles La Vie Est Belle but I wouldn’t consider it a clone or dupe. I’d regard it as a soft informal version that could perfectly be a flanker. Unfortunately it feels very short on longevity and its sillage is also too faint. That said being such an affordable fragrance I wouldn’t mind reapplying it. It’s ideal for those who like La Vie Est Belle but find it too cloying or heavy though personally I stick with the original. Red Vanilla seems quite soft to me so I’d personally use it in spring or the shoulder seasons.

  • I don’t know if this happens to others, but when it dries on my skin, it smells like clothes that dried poorly and are still damp. It has a distinct characteristic of that smell, and that’s how it smells to me. It’s unbearable for me, what a pity. I was persuaded to buy it, but NO.

  • Smells incredibly current; at first it reminds me of a rich glass of sangria, with noticeable blackcurrants followed by a lovely pear and praline blend. It finishes with a soft, sweet vanilla note. The longevity is moderate, then it sits close to the skin. I tried it out of curiosity because the gradient red bottle is gorgeous; I kept spraying myself in the shopping centre and my friends told me it smelled divine. Given the vibe and the price, I bought it on the spot. Now I’m very happy with it—it resembles several trendy fragrances at an accessible price, so I recommend it!

  • I don’t think it resembles La Vie Est Belle, but I still love it. It is strong, long-lasting, and special for the evening. I adore it; it projects a lot and I think it is more for confident women, perhaps from the age of 25 onwards.

  • I don’t think it resembles Vie E Belle yet I still love it! The scent is strong and long-lasting perfect for evenings. I adore it; it suits confident women I’d say more for those over 25.

  • Oh dear, this perfume clashes terribly with my pH. I bought it based on the good reviews, but unfortunately, on my skin it leaves a scent of rotting earth.

  • I bought it for my mother and unfortunately neither of us liked it. The aroma seems unpleasant to me. I would define it as 10% fresh grape and 90% unpleasant, cloying sweetness. Longevity is the only positive, but since it doesn’t tire the nose, it can cause nausea and headaches after a few hours. Rating: 2/10. I would not recommend it to anyone.

I bought it three months ago and liked it at first; yes, it has the vibe of LVEB. I wore it all day, but by the dry-down it became overwhelming. The sweet praline opening is exquisite and lasts ten minutes, then it turns fruity, but after half an hour, ouch, it becomes a sharp, intense patchouli that gives me a headache. It’s not bad… but it is misleading. If you love the sweetness of LVEB, this is not your perfume.

I’ve used it only a few times and it is fruity, woody, and sweet. At first, I detect pear and a hint of grape, which I believe are the blackcurrants, while the tonka bean adds a spicy base. As an EDT, it doesn’t last long on the skin; it feels fresh to me and isn’t exactly like La Vie Est Belle, though perhaps there are some similarities. I think it is youthful and nice for a family lunch under the pergola. Given the price, it makes a good gift; it is nice and sweet, but I wouldn’t buy it again. It projects for about 30 minutes and lasts around four hours on the skin. People have told me it smells good, but only at home.

  • I liked the dry-down. The opening is slightly woody with a heavy orange blossom note, although it’s not listed. The dry-down smells of vanilla, tonka bean, and powder. It’s not bad, but it doesn’t last long. I wouldn’t buy it again.

  • I tried several Zara scents as they usually receive good reviews, but this one was disappointing. At first, it smells super citrusy, like bergamot or grapefruit, even though it isn’t listed. The dry-down leaves a lovely sweet scent that I adore, but it lasts a mere breath. After two hours, it’s almost gone, and by three I need to reapply. It is cheap, but for the longevity, I would prefer a more economical option. The scent isn’t unpleasant, but I wouldn’t buy it again.

  • Bought this as a gift seeking vanilla, but initially it felt more like a mature, intense floral than vanilla. Over time, the floral opening no longer bothers me, and I now enjoy the soft sweetness that lingers in the dry-down. Lasts briefly on the skin, though it is more noticeable on clothes.

I was shopping at Zara and tempted myself with several perfumes on the counter near the checkout, buying blind. When I got home and opened it, I was surprised (I don’t know if for good or ill) to find it very similar, almost identical, to La Vie est Belle by Lancôme. Ugh, a sweet and very mass-market perfume. As it was cheap, I didn’t regret it, but I was scared to wear it. Today, on a not too hot day, I decided to give it a chance; as it’s cloying, I only applied two sprays to my neck and wrists. So far, it hasn’t given me a headache or discomfort. It’s invasive, I don’t think it’s youthful, perhaps more for someone over 30. The blackcurrant note is very prominent alongside the vanilla, from which I only sense sweetness… in short, a good dupe if you love LVEB-style perfumes.

  • The best. It has an intoxicating aroma. Although it’s not subtle because it’s strong, I find it very charming and with touches of a powerful woman. If you like strong perfumes, you must not miss trying it.

  • I picked up the 2022 refillable bottle version, reformulated, I suppose, as it doesn’t match everyone’s reviews. It’s terribly made: a very alcoholic opening with artificial blackcurrant; the pear and patchouli are superfluous, there’s too much iris, and a bad peach note that overpowers everything and lingers in the dry-down; the vanilla and praline are non-existent. The early dry-down has an air of Poison Girl EDP, but the end is sweet peach plus makeup, all extremely synthetic. Longevity, sillage, and projection are non-existent; I sprayed it ten times and nothing, barely noticing it on my clothes in less than an hour. As a lover of red fruits, I’m terribly disappointed; I’ll experiment or let it age to see what happens.

I tried it today. At first, it smells like a citrus note, even though it’s not in the pyramid; it could be pink grapefruit, bergamot, or tangerine; I also detect a rich grape smell, perhaps blackcurrants, and I perceive vanilla. When it dries down, it’s soft and might have an air of LVEB, but it doesn’t seem like a dupe, as I own it and know it well. Regarding fixation and longevity, it’s no secret that Zara perfumes or body mists aren’t the most enduring or have the best sillage.

  • Very good perfume, good longevity, and it sits well on skin, as I generally don’t wear fragrances due to having sensitive skin. Upon application, it smells similar to La Vie est Belle, but over time it becomes more vanilla and the scent is more delicious. Honestly, I didn’t like that it was so similar because many women wear that scent and I didn’t want to be part of the crowd; that’s why I like it, as it changes after two hours. Note: I used it on rainy days, and now with the sun it turns into a cheap-smelling scent. It would be better to apply it where your clothes cover it, don’t leave it in the sun. The scent is no longer lovely 😔

  • I bought it in 2023 and was surprised to find it intact on my wrist from morning until night. It caught my attention because other Zara scents don’t last this long. Perhaps I got a good batch or it’s a matter of my skin’s pH, but it certainly lasts. I like the scent; it has an air of LVEB but isn’t a dupe. The first spray is citrus-fruity for a few seconds before dropping into a fully woody and vanilla scent. Ideal for cold climates and daily wear.

  • Bought this perfume now (2023) and was surprised to find it intact on my wrist from morning till night. It caught my attention because I own other Zara perfumes and none last this long. Perhaps I’ve found a good batch or it’s down to my skin’s pH but wow it lasts. I like the scent; it has an air of Lancôme’s LVEB but it’s not a dupe. The first spray feels somewhat citrusy-fruity but fades after a few seconds settling into a fully woody and vanilla fragrance. I think it’s ideal for cold climates and daily wear.

La Vie est Belle Eau de Toilette is a good dupe. It smells like the original but much softer, which I’m not sure is a bad thing given how potent the Lancôme one is, but I wouldn’t buy more from Zara before this. It’s decent, though it’s just a very generic scent; if it isn’t the most generic fragrance of the last decade, it certainly is. I’d perhaps prefer the Gardenia (a dupe for Black Opium) if I’m looking for generic vanilla.

  • MissPennyLane

I don’t like it. I detect a sweet opening with a damp, unpleasant smell, like an old house. The good thing is it barely lasted 20/30 minutes on my skin; afterwards, it only smelled on my clothes and had faded by the hour.

  • A good dupe for La Vie est Belle. It’s not identical but follows the same line. I’ve quite liked it and it performs well.

  • It resembles Vie est Belle but lacks the intensity; the trail and longevity are non-existent. I tried it at Zara based on reviews, but it didn’t convince me at all. Try other scents in the store instead; I absolutely loved Oriental: it lasts longer and projects much better.
