I have the body mist, which I bought online alongside The Blanc to avoid extra shipping costs. It smells of roses; it’s an exquisite fragrance. It doesn’t last long because it is literally water, but after a shower, it’s a treat to give yourself a moment of relaxation; smelling roses right in the heart of the city.
Upon application, it smells like the red rose in my garden, slightly sharp at first, then it sweetens and becomes delicate, blending with magnolia and a fruity touch (litchi? I don’t know what that fruit tastes like…). On my skin, it has more than acceptable longevity for its price. It leaves a trail; I notice it on me for a few hours and people have asked about it. I use it when spring begins, and especially in autumn, when we miss the flowers. I recommend mixing them to Solinotes fans; I did with Yuzu and Cerisier and liked it, lasting longer with the latter. Now I’m waiting for the hair and body mist from the same brand and scent, perhaps that will last longer. It’s interesting that the mist can be used to perfume hair. I own other Solinotes, but none leave the same trail or last as long on my skin.
Pure Red Rose, straight from a vintage florist. In my opinion, unless you love that scent, no way; it brings terrible memories to me. I can’t be objective; it seems to have zero versatility. It’s fine that they are meant to be mixed; surely with several you can achieve a stunning combination, but if I have to buy two more just to mix, I don’t think it’s worth the cost. I buy from a specialist nose because three or four bottles here in Argentina are $18,000 for 150 ml… I’d prefer a Moschino, a CK, or a 2.5 national brand. Fixation 10/10. Scent 🌹 too red. Longevity 👌. Scent: Classless vintage. Versatility 👎🏾. So it goes with everything because it smells like a half-decent cologne 💇
Very lovely, soft yet with body, a charming and fresh rose as if cut in the first hour of the morning. I don’t know the longevity on skin, but I plan to buy it as a shower gel to wear after a bath and relax at home; I like it.
