Reading ‘Sand Service’ made me think of something salty and marine, but upon application, it’s a creamy sandalwood with green notes, not old wood. It pairs with cardamom and violet leaves for a luminous green. Papyrus and iris root clean it up without stripping away that creaminess that keeps it alive. It’s a return to sandalwood reminiscent of #33, but with less longevity and projection; for that, the Viking Kashmir by Bharara is better—it’s equally green and creamy, cheaper, and lasts longer.
