Warm and vanilla-scented, with a touch of sweet caramel clinging to the skin and a lovely amber note. The projection is close, soft, and very sweet. Andony Aroma.

Moresque Mushroom smells rich, right on the edge of gourmand with quality ingredients. It starts citrusy and vanilla, with a spicy saffron that lasts throughout the perfume without overpowering, balanced by a bergamot that keeps it in check. Then comes a spectacular myrrh that adds density and sweetness, with a floral touch that brightens it up. The finish is subtle and wearable, sweet but just right, with a well-executed amber base. It reminds me of high-end perfumes or those suggested on Fragrantica, but with its own nuances that set it apart from the common and make it good value for money. To me, it sounds a bit like Casamorati’s Lira, but without that pasty and excessively vanilla touch. I like it, it’s worth trying, it’s unisex (slightly feminine), with good performance for temperate and cold climates. Rating: 7.5/10.

I received a decant of this fragrance from Yuniqu and found myself in a ‘meh’ state. It smells nice, but has nothing to do with similar ones like Baccarat Rouge 540 in quality; or Red Temptation by Zara or Cloud by Ariana Grande in price, which it resembles more. If I hadn’t tried BR540, I would have fallen in love, but knowing that MFK scent leaves me indifferent… Does it smell good? Yes… But I don’t see it as necessary in my collection and think one should try the other before buying Moresque Mushroom to decide properly. I can’t quite see its place in the market as it doesn’t compete in either price or quality. The scent is more medicinal than BR and dirtier, with a burnt sugar note on my skin that reminds me of perfumes like Lattafa’s Raghba. Overall, it’s discreet, vanilla and amber, very sweet, with an overdose of sugar compared to others in the style. It also has a spicy side, with a very noticeable saffron that smells like cinnamon on my skin. The performance isn’t bad but isn’t a bomb: it lasts about 6-8 hours with very soft projection. I’ll use the decant as I like it and it’s versatile, but I won’t buy the full bottle. Scent: 8.5, Longevity: 8, Projection: 6, Versatility: 9, Originality: 5, Overall: 7.5.
Today Yuniqu sent me a decant of this fragrance, and I’m left in a ‘meh’ state. It smells nice, but it doesn’t quite stack up against similar scents like Baccarat Rouge 540 in terms of quality, or Red Temptation by Zara and Cloud by Ariana Grande in terms of price, which it resembles more closely. Had I not tried BR540, I would have fallen in love, but knowing that MFK scent leaves me indifferent. Does it smell good? Yes… but I don’t see it as necessary in my collection. I think before buying the full bottle of Moresque Mushroom, one should try the other to decide properly. I can’t quite see its place in the market as it competes neither on price nor quality.
