  A fragrance fit for kings! An honour to write my first review on Fragrantica and also on YouTube. My friends, let me tell you that tired of mixing oud with roses, vanilla, or sweet things, I set out to find something different… and here I found it. This oud mixed with patchouli is already distinct, but with that opening orange it becomes something very special. With Pierre Montale’s mastery, you can’t ask for more.   An exquisite perfume with refreshing orange, glorious and clean saffron, and to close, a powerful yet pleasant oud. A winning combination. I fully agree with Moy Olaf: it is fit for kings, taking you by the hand through a world of different and citrusy oud. I haven’t found another fragrance with such potency and freshness with such glorious notes. Versatile use, widely pleasant aroma, and very high olfactory memory. A true work of modern art.

  Spicy Aoud kicks off with a spicy orange that refreshes, supported by a synthetic oud that adds woody weight. Minutes later, the saffron becomes intense and the soft patchouli adds an earthy touch. It’s an orange-oud scent throughout all phases, with saffron in the heart and patchouli at the end. In my opinion, this Montale is one of the brand’s best: it has excellent sillage and longevity, it’s not a beast but very potent. People will like it; it suits almost everything, except on very hot summers. Scent: 7.7, Projection: 8, Longevity: 7.9, Unique: 7. Highly recommended.
