It smells exactly like La Belle. If I didn’t have the original, I would buy this because, come on… it’s identical. I can’t comment on its performance.

Wonderful, clearly a good dupe, but it doesn’t last at all; it was gone in under two hours. If you don’t mind reapplying, it’s a good buy for the price.

  • I absolutely loved it; it smells divine, sweet and fruity. It bears a slight resemblance to La Belle, but they aren’t the same (I personally prefer the Zara version). I was pleasantly surprised by the longevity: I wore it today and it lasted over eight hours on my skin; with time, it will surely last even longer. Very happy, especially as 30 ml didn’t cost more than €6; a real bargain.

I looked for it as a more affordable alternative to La Belle and it didn’t disappoint. Imagine a fresher, less sweet Belle; it’s ideal even for hot weather. The trail and longevity are appropriate for the price; if you like La Belle, you’ll enjoy Sultry Pear from Zara.

  • I’m trying fruity perfumes and this is ideal. It smells of caramelised pear, and you can detect the praline; it’s delicious and pleasant. The resemblance to La Belle is evident, but I love it; perfect for spring. It lasts about five hours and has a good trail.

I bought it looking for a more affordable alternative to La Belle and it didn’t disappoint. Imagine a Belle but fresher and less sweet; I’d even wear it on hot days. Sillage and longevity are appropriate for the price; if you like the scent of La Belle, you’ll enjoy Sultry Pear from Zara.

  • Smells like the Victoria’s Secret pear body splash: sweet and juicy, but it lasts a mere moment on the skin.

  • I owned the original and bought this once I’d finished it. It smells similar and sweet but not overpowering, yet it doesn’t last at all on my skin or clothes. I can’t find it in Zara anymore; I think they’ve discontinued it.

I read somewhere that it resembled Jean Paul Gaultier’s La Belle. I must say I’ve always kept my distance from JPG perfumes; I remember when they became the rage among the lads in my town back in the 2000s… that little body-shaped bottle. Everyone wore the same scent, and I hated it. Walking into the Pacha, the only smell was that, that, and the hairspray wax they all used. I didn’t like it at all; it felt heavy, dense and cloyingly sweet. It just wasn’t for me… How things change, a few weeks ago I noticed the three La Belle bottles at Primor: the classic, the Eau de Parfum and the green one with that paradisiacal vibe; to my great surprise, I liked them very much. So, from time to time, I go and smell them, I like them, I convince myself, and I think about when I’ll buy one—I don’t have much money right now. So when I read that Sultry Pear was similar, I rushed to Zara. I must say that at first it smelled too much of very sweet pear and didn’t remind me of La Belle at all (though I was smelling it on the cap). In the end, I bought the 30 ml version, which costs around €9.99 here, nothing. I took it home and still wasn’t fully convinced; if you smell the bottle directly, it smells like pear juice. But… this morning I wore it to go out and I really liked it. They do resemble each other. Sultry Pear is very lovely; after the pear comes the jasmine, then it darkens with a blend of almond, vanilla and praline… And yes, yes, it does resemble La Belle. It lasted three hours for sure, after which I went back and showered, so I don’t know how much longer it will last… I recommend it, I really like it!

I’ve always avoided JPG perfumes; I remember when all the lads in my town wore the ‘body’ bottle and it smelled like hair wax and was heavy. But a few weeks ago, I noticed the La Belle bottles at Primor and liked them a lot. Having read that Sultry Pear was similar, I headed to Zara. At first, it smelled of pear juice and didn’t remind me of La Belle, but I bought the 30ml for £9.99. Initially, I wasn’t convinced, but this morning I wore it and I loved it. They do resemble each other: rich, then jasmine, before turning dark with almond, vanilla, and praline, just like La Belle. It lasted three hours; I recommend it.

  • At first, it smells like watered-down pear mixed with a pungent, confusing car air freshener—synthetic and cheap. I don’t detect any almond or vanilla. Once it settles, the unpleasantness disappears, but it remains bland, lacking character or a summery vibe. I’ll let it mature for a few months, and if it doesn’t work, I’ll sell it.

  • At first, it smells rich, like a water pear, but then mixes with a car air freshener that tickles my nose, making it confusing and artificial. Where is the almond I love so much? I can’t detect it. Is that vague, spicy note at the beginning jasmine? I doubt it. The vanilla doesn’t appear or stand out either. Once it settles, the irritation stops and that unpleasant note disappears, but it becomes bland; it gives me anosmia and says nothing. Perhaps there’s a hint of baked pear far away, but I’m just imagining it. It’s neither elegant nor seductive—it’s nothing like I expected. Is it my nose or my skin? It sounds synthetic, cheap and imperceptible. It’s not disgusting, just a scent that smells like nothing, lacking grace or summer vibes. I’ll leave the bottle to macerate for a few months to try again; if it doesn’t work, I’ll sell it.

  • Smells like freshly squeezed, juicy, rich pear, but it doesn’t quite convince me to buy it. Perhaps it’s because it reminds me of La Belle, although on my skin it’s less vanilla-heavy.
