Fragantica falls short on the notes: grapefruit and neroli at the start, pink pepper, ginger and cardamom in the middle, with a base of incense, sandalwood and leather. I tested it in both cold and heat, and it changes quite a bit. In winter, the opening is citrusy and spicy with grapefruit, pepper and ginger; then the leather and cardamom emerge, settling into a sweet, powdery leather. In summer, dry sandalwood dominates with the grapefruit, giving way to the woods and cardamom, with the pepper taking centre stage after an hour. The leather lingers at the base. It always opens strongly but fades to skin scent quickly, lasting around six hours. It’s a unisex fragrance ideal for dynamic people on mild, breezy days. I love these androgynous scents, but Super 8 didn’t win me over: I expected better quality and performance for that price; I wouldn’t pay €190.
