The most masculine scent Zara has released so far: zero bubblegum and no vanilla. It smells like a rugged man from the countryside, ideal for those over 40 or the brave. Suitable only for cold weather and lasts forever on skin and twice as long on clothes.

The most masculine fragrance Zara has ever made. Here there are no bubblegum or vanilla notes, but rather a man weathered by the countryside. Suitable for those over 40 or for the brave. Exclusive to cold climates and it lasts an eternity on the skin and twice as long on clothes.

I received this True Leather yesterday, which I was eager to try. It was a blind buy but it didn’t disappoint. What surprised me most is how soft it is, nothing like Tom Ford’s Ombre Leather or La Yuqawam. It feels like an elegant, realistic suede, with spices such as pepper or saffron that aren’t listed but are very present. At first, you notice the bergamot, but quickly the suede and spices take over. In the end, you perceive moss and vetiver, but not the iris or caramel. It’s elegant and sophisticated, making me think of luxurious settings with jazz in the background. At times it reminds me of a gin and tonic with cucumber. The downside is that it has little projection and longevity: after a few minutes, it’s barely audible, only close to the skin.

Very good longevity. I would define it as a green and sparkling leather. It smells exactly like the Yuqawam from Ambergris Showers, which in turn is an inspiration for Memo Irish Leather. Not a blind buy, but in this case there is no other way to try it.

A suede bomb with good longevity of 8 hours on my skin and moderate projection. It is not intrusive because the sillage is quite contained.

Well, I start with the box pyramid: bergamot, pink pepper, saffron, orris, caramel, dry amber, vetiver, leather, evernyl, and musk. It has similarities with Night Pour Homme V, the clone of Baccarat. The saffron, caramel, and moss… then a prominent leather appears which, for me, does remind me of Tuscan Leather, but as it has less intensity and is not mono-chordal, the feeling is different. Something curious happened to me: at times, a trip I took to Tunisia years ago came to mind, I don’t know if due to perfumes or materials from there. For me, who has trouble smelling many leathers, it did not disappoint entirely (all indoors, I must say). I suppose it influences that it is very blended; sometimes it seems the mixture of leather and caramel is not very harmonious, but the truth is it is a curious fragrance and of decent quality for the price. I recommend trying it.

In my opinion, the opening is quite similar, if not identical, to Arabi Cana by Kolmaz.

It smells good but nothing extraordinary. Far from being an outstanding leather fragrance, beware of the hype from YouTubers who distort things to gain likes. I have it and it has nothing special: it is a boring fragrance without composition or depth. It is cheap, yes, a simple leather without nuances. There are few high-quality and affordable fragrances; something good and of quality is almost never cheap.

It has nothing to do with Tuscan Leather or those leather fragrances based on isobutyl quinoline. What it does is offer an incredibly realistic suede; I don’t know how they achieve it. The closest thing I know is Suederal, but this is something else. Paired with iris, it adds warmth and sensuality. It lasts a long time, around 8–9 hours, with moderate projection. Very pleasant, not intrusive, and versatile.

It has nothing to do with Tuscan Leather or so many leather fragrances based on isobutyl quinoline. The central note is an incredibly realistic suede. I would love to know how they achieve it. The closest thing I know is suéderal, but this smells like something I have never smelled before. Accompanying this suede, the iris gives warmth and sensuality to the whole. Very good longevity (8-9 hours in my case) and moderate projection. Very pleasant to wear, nothing intrusive and very versatile.

More of a suede aroma than leather, a very pleasant dry suede. Saffron is noticeable and a floral sensation in the background that I imagine is the iris, something powdery but not very sweet. Good performance, easy to reach 8 hours. It does not resemble either Ombre Leather or Tuscan Leather; this has its own personality, very easy to wear and with a good personal scent when used. Well done, Zara.

It’s more of a dry suede scent than leather, very pleasant. You can detect saffron and a floral base, probably powdery iris but not sweet. Good performance, around 8 hours. It bears no resemblance to either Ombre Leather or Tuscan Leather; it has its own personality, easy to wear with a good personal scent. Well done, Zara.

First off, it has nothing to do with Tom Ford’s Ombre Leather; that’s a different league entirely. To me, it sounds more like Dior’s Fahrenheit. It smells like a leather jacket with a floral touch that, for me, ends up smelling like petrol. It needs a bit more sweetness to make sense. I’m not convinced; I think the YouTubers are exaggerating. The problem is there are no testers in-store; if I’d tried it, I’d have saved those $23. Just my personal opinion.

The first thing that stands out is its performance for a Zara product, where longevity is usually short. I applied it at 5 p.m.; the trail lasted over an hour, it was noticeable for 6–7 hours, and even the next day it lingered close to the skin. It smells like what you know from Tuscan Leather or La Yuqawam, but it has its own personality: the leather is more gourmand and green, thanks to the iris and bergamot, less harsh and much more wearable. A pleasant surprise at £15.95 for 80 ml; it shouldn’t be missing from your collection.

The best clone of Memo Moroccan Leather, basically they are identical. Iris. Not so much leather; if you are looking for a deeper iris than Prada Infusion d’Iris, this could be a good choice. It has nothing to do with Tom Ford’s Tuscan Leather, absolutely nothing. Nor with Ombré Leather. True Leather is completely unisex, bordering on feminine, perfect for spring. The best I have smelled from Zara by far, although it bores me as much as Memo does. Rating 7.5.

Intense, so watch out with the sprays. An aroma for winter, class and mystery. Still in the testing phase, but so far it’s going well.
