We Matter by MARIA CHER.: A Deliciously Creamy Fragrance with a Citrus Twist

We Matter by MARIA CHER. was launched in 2023, and it offers a distinctly feminine take on the gourmand genre. It opens with sparkling lime and citrus notes, before moving into a silky heart of panna cotta, orange blossom, and a hint of rum.

As it settles, the fragrance reveals a warm base of vanilla, cream, and white chocolate. The overall impression is sweet, creamy, and slightly lactonic, with enough freshness to keep things interesting.

The opening is crisp and mouth-watering, thanks to the lime and citrus top notes. This bright start lifts the composition, while the heart introduces a softer, more indulgent character. Panna cotta gives a silky creaminess, orange blossom adds a delicate floral touch, and rum contributes a gentle warmth that rounds everything out.

The base is where the perfume really shines. Vanilla, cream, and white chocolate combine to create a luxurious, almost dessert-like trail. The lactonic facets are beautifully balanced, and the citrus opening ensures the sweetness never becomes too heavy or overpowering.

We Matter has already earned a loyal following, with an average rating of 4.3 out of 5 from 22 ratings. Reviews highlight the fragrance's impressive longevity and sillage, making it a reliable choice for those who like their perfume to make a statement.

This is a fragrance for colder days and nights. It feels particularly at home in autumn and winter, when its creamy, warm nature can truly envelop the wearer. With a lighter hand, it can also work on a cool spring evening, offering comfort without feeling overwhelming.

MARIA CHER. has created something genuinely appealing here. We Matter is sweet and sophisticated, with a modern, confident edge. It's a lovely option for anyone who wants a gourmand scent that feels both playful and polished.

This perfume will suit women who love sweet, creamy, and vanilla-forward fragrances. It's especially good for those who enjoy gourmand scents but want a citrus sparkle to keep the composition lively and fresh.

We Matter is a charming, well-crafted gourmand fragrance. It starts with energy, develops with elegance, and settles into a deliciously warm finish. A great choice for anyone seeking a comforting yet distinctive perfume.

I’m a fan of Devotion and I can confirm that it does resemble it, but more the Intense version. Obviously it’s not 100% the same, as We Matter has a cream note and a white chocolate note that you can really smell. It’s a fairly dense, wintry, sweetish and delicious fragrance. I’d buy it again if it weren’t for the TERRIBLE longevity. Seriously, I understand it’s an eau de toilette, but come on! It can’t last for such a short time; it’s a complete shame because the scent is delicious! :'(

I’m not going to be very original saying this hahaha, but it’s similar to Devotion by D&G. It has that lemon pudding vibe, with a vanilla that feels warm without being heavy. I think it’s a very easy perfume to wear, and also very easy to give as a gift to someone who feels that ‘vanilla perfumes are too cloying for me’. On my skin, the staying power isn’t very good; I’d like it to last a bit longer. However, considering it’s not expensive, I don’t mind reapplying it during the day. The only thing that really disappointed me was the spray nozzle. It worked badly from the start, and little droplets came out instead of a mist. A bit of a let-down because the little bottle is super cute! Even with that issue, if you like Devotion or you’re just looking for a vanilla and lemon perfume without it being cloying, it’s worth it!

  3. Very nice gourmand perfume, in my opinion 100% feminine (sorry to the brand…), which you can get at a discount price in perfume shops or even on Mercado Libre. It doesn’t last long but it’s very nice.

Not bad, it has a certain resemblance to Devotion but without the strong citrus opening the other one has. It’s a sweet but somewhat synthetic scent. Neither one thing nor the other.

  5. It’s delicious. My colleague always came to work with an intoxicating perfume and I didn’t know which one it was. Until one day I smelt it at a Farmacity and I loved it: it was the same one she always wore and that left a trail, so I got it. She used Devotion, I found out afterwards, so I can attest that it’s exactly the same. Only this one lasts less on me, no more than 3 or 4 hours at most, and I need to reapply. But for the price, it’s more than fine.
