Exotic Waters by Avon

A very rich and youthful scent. I just bought Born in Roma Donna Coral Fantasy and it reminded me of this one until I found the Exotic rollerball; they are almost identical, a pleasant surprise. Hard to find nowadays, very fresh and citrusy. It feels like a slightly powdery orange, and as it dries down, more fruits and flowers emerge—very feminine and rich (I’m not usually a floral person, but these are an exception). Very good and worth the price.

I had this years ago. It was very fresh, body-scented but with good longevity and sillage for its price. The downside was that the blue dye stained my clothes. Edit: I just bought a mini rollerball to remember those times. It smells lovely, sweet, aquatic, and fresh. It has a strong resemblance to Davidoff’s Cool Water, but the musk is more noticeable and the opening isn’t so soapy.

I don’t like it. I bought Marc Jacobs Day blind and hushhh, it’s exactly the same as this Exotic Water from Avon, identical.

I can’t stand it. They keep giving it to me despite my disgust; it haunts me. I already have three bottles and can’t cope with it. It’s very fresh, sweet melon at first, aquatic and fresh. But that fruit note makes it smell like disinfectant or bath powder; every time I used it, it smelled extremely clean, as if I’d caught the scent of the bathroom soap 🤣. I hope no one else thinks of giving it to me. Even a body mist from the supermarket would be nicer.

What a cheerful and fresh scent! It arrived in miniature and I bought it blind; I love it for the beach. It’s aquatic, fruity (melon and tangerine amplified on my skin) with a touch of gardenia florals. Recommended for hot days, as it doesn’t last as long in the cold.

To start, I’m surprised to find Avon perfumes here, not because they are bad, simply because they are so economical and easy to find. This perfume a few years ago I could get two 50ml bottles for £100 and I was delighted; call it cheap, common, or ordinary, but I love this perfume madly. Thirteen years ago I took it on my holidays to Acapulco and feeling its scent was and is the best; I have feelings towards this perfume for the memories it evokes. But as is obvious, its longevity isn’t good. I’m looking for one that smells exactly the same from a prestigious house in the art of perfumery. However, Exotic Waters has all my love.

They just gave it to me and to the credit of this perfume, I can only say it has excellent sillage and durability, smells like sweet treats and is fresh for the heat, totally summery. It’s very acidic and because of that acidity, I didn’t like it entirely; it seems a bit synthetic, like a body splash. I don’t plan to use it as it has a very harsh cucumber note and I don’t perceive any rose, jasmine, or gardenia. It’s a very ordinary little perfume. I’m currently wearing it on the back of my hand to give it a chance, an opportunity that on my pH doesn’t shine as brightly as many others from this brand, but I don’t like using it. It wasn’t much. The bottle isn’t very large and I’ll give it away; that’s where I stand with this little perfume.

In my opinion, it’s a citrus perfume. Fresh, I perceive a fresh cucumber scent and it’s the first time I haven’t disliked the aquatic note. It has a fine sweet touch, not much, it’s super light. So wearable for everyday life. On my skin, it lasted approx 4 hours. For the price and size, you can carry it in your bag without any problem.
