Surreal by Avon

Why did they discontinue this perfume? I owned it and unfortunately, they stopped producing it; I still haven’t found anything quite like it. On my skin, it was magnetic: perfect for summer days and exquisite, mysterious for nights. The projection is moderate, just right, but you can’t ask for more given the price. For me, an 8/10.

I used to wear it as a child and hardly remember it. It smells like evening wear—fresh but not refreshing. Like its cool-coloured bottle, the scent is a bit heavy. I don’t recall it for anything special, but rather for the bottle itself. It didn’t smell particularly Avon, nor was it rich. To me, it smelled mysterious.

I like this floral musk scent, but the initial hint of red berries is unbearable; some combinations make me gag. I would have preferred a citrus or honey note to add sweetness, but those berries give it a musty quality that doesn’t make me say ‘oh, I love it’. Every couple of months, I feel the urge to try it again. I’ve had it for over five years and never finish it, as I only manage to wear it for two consecutive days at best. It doesn’t convince me, yet something attracts me, possibly the neroli, tiare, and musk. The longevity is poor, lasting barely three or four hours on the skin. I won’t be buying it again.

A surreal Avon fragrance: opening with red berries, followed by florals, and finishing with patchouli and a light musk. The trail is weak and lasts only two to four hours. It was more suitable for daytime and summer, for those over 20.

What a horror! It’s cloying, strong, and gives me a headache. None of this line is good. What a pity, and it smells more like winter than summer.

It’s for summer, best in the evening or at night. Although it’s fresh, the woody notes make it long-lasting; in intense heat, it can feel heavy if you apply too much. I use between two and four sprays to make it last, depending on longevity. It projects strongly at first before fading, so I prefer it for night. By day, use it moderately in the heat. In winter, no problem. I see it as youthful, suitable for everyone. It’s rich, but I wouldn’t buy it again; I prefer to keep trying other things as it doesn’t quite excite me. Everything with berry notes, green accords, and wood attracts me, so I purchased it. Recommended for a short trip in contact with nature, it’s unobtrusive and subtle.

I agree with Anabella7. I recently received the bottle I ordered of Surreal Garden along with Pur Blanca. I tested one on each wrist. The Surreal must be on ‘another plane’ because I can’t perceive it anymore. I think it’s one of those perfumes I wear straight out of the shower before going to bed.
