Qaa’ed by Lattafa Perfumes

Excellent perfume, price, and quality. I’m over 35, formal, and elegant. No more than five sprays; great longevity and sillage. Beautiful packaging. Do not buy blindly. If you like One Million, Invictus, 212 VIP Black, and that style, this isn’t for you. It’s something serious, elegant, and for occasional use.

It’s a WOODY perfume, very masculine, spiced, animalic, with a slight suede base. It’s not sweet, not for amateurs who are just starting out or teenagers; the vanilla at the base is only there to round off the scent, making it more approachable. It’s not a difficult OUD; on the contrary, it’s very usable and mature, blending a bit with the creaminess of the sandalwood. For me, it has become an addictive perfume. Moderate projection for about two hours, then it stays close to the skin. If you like warm, woody, spiced scents with a masculine profile, plus 30, black shirt, leather jacket, or an office profile that demands formality and respect, it’s a luxury.

This is extremely expensive for the rubbish they are selling you. It’s a perfume you could easily use if you’re over 80 and it’s winter. They tell you it’s a sweet leather, but it’s a lie; it’s sour leather, too strong, with an old smell. I’d say it even smells like rancid mustard. The worst purchase I’ve ever made!!!

Bought it blindly and I was not mistaken at all. Qaa’ed is one of those perfumes where you barely need to spray it; you know it will accompany you with presence throughout the day. It’s an elegant, masculine perfume with character, ideal for standing out discreetly, without exaggerating, but leaving a mark. It has a warm and spiced aroma, with a woody touch that gives it that firmness you feel with every step. It’s perfect for autumn and winter, as it maintains an aroma that is noticeable at gatherings, at work, or on a night out. In my experience, the longevity is around six hours, leaving a sober trail that doesn’t invade. It’s a perfume that generates compliments, but above all, it makes you feel good about yourself. This perfume combines class, presence, and an elegant masculine scent without breaking the budget.

What a wonder, please. A warm, spiced perfume with a cinnamon and a vanilla base that I love. Ten-hour longevity and three-hour projection. A great discovery.

Ideal for Christmas, or perhaps in colder climates. Smells like rompope with a touch of freshly cut wood and spices. Very rich for evening wear or cold weather, suitable for someone over 20, perfect for a date or gatherings. Simply delighted.

Opens with spices, then dries down to be very sweet and warm, with vanilla and wood dominating, while incense and leather linger in the base. It’s a good scent, a fine fragrance, suitable for day and night, for going out but not for daily wear; avoid wearing it in the heat. I recommend testing it on skin first; don’t buy blind, but for the price, you can take a risk. Don’t apply more than four sprays, especially if you’re sensitive; it projects well for about an hour and a half but doesn’t last more than six hours on skin, though perhaps macerating it for months will improve it.

Spices, leather, woods and an amber, incensed touch is the concise definition. Excellent value for money. Suitable for cold days and nights. Outstanding longevity and good projection… seven and a half hours respectively. Do not buy blind. Rating: 7.8/10.

Not recommended for a blind buy; the cinnamon scent is quite pronounced, but the fragrance’s longevity is good.

I tested Qaa’ed and can assure you that the dry-down is identical to Issey Miyake L’Essence du Parfum. Not so much in the opening, which starts with the spicy notes and cardamom, but after a few minutes it’s very similar. Just one application was enough to have the fragrance on my skin for hours. For quality and price, it’s a tremendous perfume.

Lattafa Qaa’ed is a gem in the world of fragrances. It smells sweet and vanilla-rich, with deep notes of leather, amber, a touch of oud, and saffron. Unlike others like Oud for Greatness, it has a unique style. It’s elegant and perfect for special occasions. Given its scent and longevity, it offers excellent value for money; I recommend buying it.

This perfume smells of cinnamon, wood, incense, vanilla, and sandalwood. But the overall effect is like walking past an Egyptian shop. I don’t know why, but it smells of papyrus, paper, a heap of dusty old notebooks you’ve just pulled from the wardrobe.

It has a bright, spicy opening; some might say ‘synthetic’ (which is true, as perfumery is entirely synthetic unless it’s a niche brand). It’s luminous, giving way to saffron, leather, and oud, in that order of aromatic predominance. It’s almost at the limit of being a typical oriental vibe, yet it lacks the typical sweetness found in current designer perfumery; instead, it’s a ‘bright spice without sugar’. The oud isn’t dominant in the composition but rather sits in the middle, blended with the other notes. Suitable for nocturnal or formal daytime wear, best for autumn and winter. Good skin fixation, which is already common in Lattafa (it passes the bed test: nine hours, applied at midnight, still smelling when waking up in the morning). It’s from Lattafa’s budget line, and for the price, it’s hard to find something similar in the Western perfumery segment. If it’s inspired by another creation, I can’t confirm that. I recommend it, just like its very close cousin, Qaa’ed Al Shabaab. Well done, Lattafa, keep adding points.

Lattafa Qaa’ed is mysterious and tempting, with a predominant amber scent and soft leather, along with herbs like hyssop and a vanilla note at the end that proves to be the highlight of a truly pleasant fragrance. To be honest, it’s a well-composed perfume, although it sits among the weaker ones (I should add that my tolerance for potent aromas is very high) that include oud in this brand, both in longevity and trail, so it might seem a bit light to lovers of this note. However, despite not being dominant, it makes everything more confidential and plays with the sensations it offers: luxurious, golden, on velvet, on leather. I agree with @Taurien’s appreciation: in the dry down, a common DNA characteristic of this house appears, more evident if you have or have tried several. The first contact is quite sharp and rough, but as often happens in life, good things take time. Once the top notes have evaporated, a warm, clean, oriental spice potion begins to shine. To my taste, I prefer the vanilla and leather of Ferrari Leather Essence, but this Lattafa is a good option for those taking their first steps in these directions and offered at an unbeatable price.
