It’s the heir to OPAL ‘Games of Spades’. It’s the same perfume, but while the original barely moves, this one is a marathon runner 😂😂😂. Rich aroma and super versatile, suitable for any moment. Lasts about 3 hours on skin (6 on clothes) with a trail of nearly 3 metres. It’s not tiring, ideal for indoors. NOTE: if you have the money, buy it, but if you’re looking for the best, keep searching for the original Opal.

LV continues to create fresh, simple fragrances with incredible sensations. Citrus explosion at the start with ginger to add vitality; both accords last quite a while, nothing special but with a distinct feel. The magic arrives in the dry down: at 30 minutes a beautiful, elegant sandalwood appears and takes the lead, giving a clean, soapy sensation. It declares solar notes, and although I can’t detail them, there’s something green that adds elegance. Performance is excellent until the end, leaving a magical trail and an unparalleled second-skin feeling. Makes me feel great. Unisex, versatile, shines in spring and summer. I’ve worn it for over 8 hours. Brilliant.

Where to begin? At 5pm on a workday, two girls from Kuwait walked into the shop and I was instantly speechless at their scent. I approached with curiosity and asked what they were wearing; they were filling the shop with something so cool. With genuine kindness, they told me: LV LOVERS, the new launch. I was amazed, I’d never smelled anything like it. It has a special essence and is totally unique. The trail is creamy, like a velvety sandalwood with a touch of green and spicy ginger, but without losing that incredible delicacy. It’s delicious, unique and, best of all, unisex. At 24, I love the idea of putting it on my skin. Perfumes have no gender; if you like it, it’s yours. Two sprays release all its magic. Ideal for cold days where a light breeze allows you to appreciate its evolution. A definite 10/10. It’s not just a perfume, it’s an experience.

When I smell it close to the skin, it reminds me of the base of many current perfumes (Santal 33, LB Paradise G, Explorer Platinum, CK Aromatic Essence), but in the air it’s something else: the trail is exquisite, addictive and very unisex (55% feminine). The opening is of little interest because in 2 minutes the scent remains, lasting about 10 hours on skin. It has quite a bit of Ambroxan and Iso E Super, along with sandalwood (which sometimes sounds like dry coconut), a slight soapy tone (maybe Galaxolide?) and that typical ethereal sweetness of LV, plus the ginger that gives it a spark. Projection, trail and longevity are great; it’s potent and worth it if you like it. Warning, it can cause anosmia due to the ingredients. Although it reminds me of the sandalwood in the ones I mentioned, I rule out Santal Royal and Sandalo by ADP, because I think those use ‘natural’ extracts and the previous ones only use accords to maximise profits.

What can I say about this fragrance? Perhaps it reminds you of others due to that marked sandalwood. It’s not potent or invasive; it starts with a medium-citrus opening accompanied by woods, then becomes more soapy and clean. As an olfactory experience, I don’t think it’s gratifying or satisfying, to the point of being boring. So, what’s the point? I see it as the spring sun: it gives you the joy of smelling something rich and clean without being overwhelming. Projects strongly at the start but doesn’t invade after 2 hours. The other point is that it stays like a second skin. Even people have told me I smell good but not like perfume, but like ‘me’. I see it for everyday use, the office or going out to eat outdoors. On dates it’s welcoming; sometimes it’s better to smell clean with that creamy sandalwood than a sharp perfume. Remember not everyone has the same olfactory sensitivity and this doesn’t bother anyone. Cheers!🫡

Hello, here’s my little review. I just acquired it in the boutique. It’s definitely a masculine fragrance, with a green rather than citrus opening from a fougère side, and dries down highlighting the sandalwood and woods. Very clean, fresh and earthy green aroma, perfect for summer and casual daily use. It’s not challenging at all, very easy to wear. Performance-wise, I wore it for 4 hours and it’s still noticeable well at 60cm. I think if you exceed 6 sprays it can cause olfactory fatigue; better to reapply after 6 hours or wear it on clothes. I’d give it a general 7/10; for the price, there could be better options with more variety and evolution. Perhaps after trying it for more days I’ll correct my judgement. Cheers.
