Descripción

Heat by Beyoncé is an oriental vanilla fragrance for women. Launched in 2010, this composition was created by Claude Dir and Olivier Gillotin. The top notes unfold a fruity and floral accord featuring peach, orchid, magnolia, and neroli. The heart reveals a sweet and woody blend of almond, sweet macaron, musk, and honeysuckle. The base settles on amber, tonka bean, and red cedar.

  • It’s feminine and has an excellent trail in temperate climates; not very original but with presence. I recommend it; it smells like L’bel perfumes, very good indeed, even my uncle wears it when he has nothing else on and it suits him perfectly. One must say that it doesn’t suit everyone perfectly; in some, like my mother and a friend, it becomes soft and less long-lasting.

I tried it in a pharmacy, put a little on my wrist and… by heavens! How do I get it off? It’s horrible!

  • It lingers a bit, but tastes great; the trick is to put just a few drops on the neck. Sounds odd, but I wear it in summer and it depends heavily on everyone’s pH.

  • It has a significant weight but tastes the best. The secret is to put just a few drops on the neck. Sounds like a paradox, but I wear it in summer. And as I said before… it depends heavily on everyone’s pH.

The truth is, it smells synthetic and could scare off sensitive noses… although it’s pleasant, it doesn’t smell like air freshener or floor cleaner, but the word ‘cheap’ did come to mind (first time, by the way). At first, it smells of acidic fruits (let’s say peach) with sweet, hot caramel (you can feel the ‘heat’ here), maxed-out magnolia and a super-synthetic orchid touch. Then comes strong synthetic musk and something like beaten egg white with sugar when it dries (let’s say macaron notes?). Finally, something ‘woody’ and ‘vanillated’ (tonka bean) with synthetic amber, but covered up by those top notes and the musk that stand out. I agree with others: it can go from heavy to extremely heavy depending on who wears it. For my part (I like intense scents) I tolerate it, but if I can avoid it, I prefer not to use it. However, my skin carries it well and after 20 minutes it smells quite good, haha. In conclusion: ‘neither here nor there’, ordinary, cloying… very cheap… but well! Whoever wants to attract attention with something sweet but undefined (noses that don’t analyse much will just perceive something sweet, striking, and OK), it could work. I clarify that it’s not unpleasant, nor does it diminish Beyoncé’s effort; I’ve smelled designer perfumes that last less and smell equally or more synthetic. I think it’s better for day, in cool or cold climates; in heat it could be excessively ‘heat’ 😀 … although its power and trail drop significantly after an hour and a half. Jeri1510 says she uses it in summer… it could be… for my taste, it’s better for night or the beach (with salt water and coconut it goes better) or outdoors; in fact, the first thing I thought when testing it was ‘beach perfume’… but that’s in my case, where I perfume MYSELF on the beach. It seems possible what Wilmito said, that it smells good on her uncle… because when it dries it smells like a pleasant and sexy perfume for men!; yes, yes, men can wear it without worry 🙂

  • Although many say it smells simple and cheap, I always find something special in each one and in this it’s the scent of something hot and very sexy; it’s great that people ask what you smell like, especially when you’re wearing it.

  • It smells strong and I love it; it suits me perfectly. I like the intense, mixed scent and I feel happy wearing it. I’m one of those who prefer potent perfumes.

To me, Heat is an olfactory tantrum. It leaves me with furious, choleric vibes, as if one of the seven deadly sins had invaded my skin, only to crash down abruptly and leave everything in a confused mess. Heat tries too hard to achieve too little: an undefined, incomprehensible scent (and I don’t think there’s much to understand). I detect intense peach and well-placed musk, but the rest gives the impression of being synthetic or low quality. It’s not that it smells bad; no one would say, ‘Ugh, what do you smell like!’ but it is inferior to products of equal or lesser price. Moreover, just like its colour, the scent is brash and intense, as if it were shouting, ‘Smell me!’ I believe it was a rushed attempt by Beyoncé to achieve commercial success, especially with other celebrities like Britney, Celine, and Paris raking in millions; but unlike them, Beyoncé is lacking in quality and commitment here. It seems the perfumers had good ideas, but by mixing them they created an olfactory ‘Frankenstein’. The trail could be flattering, but it descends so abruptly that it’s like a model tripping mid-catwalk. Verdict: if you want something by Beyoncé, go for Heat Rush, which is far superior to the original.

It’s rich, fruity, and sweet for hot days, but it has a problem: IT DOESN’T LAST AT ALL. What a pity; you have to reapply two or three times a day. I don’t know how it is for others, but this one won’t hold up.

  • It doesn’t smell synthetic or bad as others say. To me, it’s rich, floral-fruity, and very summery. The longevity is short, but given the scent and the low price for daily wear, it’s worth it.

  • I’m really sorry, but on my skin it smells masculine. The wood and musk take over in the end. It overwhelms me and feels very heavy.

  • I agree it smells more masculine; the sweet peach has a dark floral note perfect for evening. Reminded me of Tom Ford’s Black Orchid, but less intense. I grabbed it for $3 in 15ml, so no risk. I’ll use it and let you know, but it’s perfect for men.

  • Smells good, like a sweet, powdery pear, but with something odd. I wouldn’t recommend it; it feels very ‘granny’.

  • I didn’t like it; I perceive it as very synthetic and heavy. It even gave me a stomach ache when I wore it.

  • I bought it blindly and ended up using it as a room spray; it wasn’t wearable on the skin as it became overpoweringly long-lasting.

  • I bought it without testing it, and when I did, I decided to use it as a room freshener; I wasn’t able to wear it as a perfume. It felt endless.

An enigmatic and dark perfume, ideal for cold climates or for evening wear. Upon application, I can’t distinguish the notes, unlike with other perfumes. On my skin, it smells sweet with floral touches, highlighting the amber and tonka bean; I feel sexy and mysterious. Although the sillage and longevity aren’t the best, it lasts between 4 and 5 hours on the skin and projects for about 2.

An enigmatic and dark perfume, perfect for the cold or the night. When I apply it, I can’t distinguish its notes as I do with others, but on my skin it’s sweet with floral touches where amber, vanilla and flowers stand out. I feel sexy and mysterious, although its trail and longevity aren’t the best: 4-5 hours on skin and 2 hours of projection.

  • You can tell there’s a soapy base; it’s not bad, but it wasn’t what I expected from the notes. A bit heavy, but not terrible. However, I don’t think I’ll buy it again because the bottle is very uncomfortable to use.

  • I wore it years ago and several times thought about buying it again, but in the end I prioritise new aromas over the known ones. The truth is, I don’t understand why it has such bad reviews… it’s a sweet, feminine, slightly tipsy and, watch out, feminine scent. Nothing masculine or unisex, it’s definitely sweet and sensual. It’s super appetising; I received more compliments from men than from women when I wore it. I loved wearing it in spring-summer, I think it looks spectacular for nights and parties. I remember it with good trail and longevity, and nothing cloying. Packaging: 10/10, very comfortable and pretty. Value for money: 10/10, here it has a ridiculously cheap price. Aroma: 10/10, warm, sensual, appetising, sweet. Longevity: 10/10, good duration. Trail: 6/10, it didn’t project much. Versatility: 5/10, although it’s delicious, it’s not for everyday wear. Visualising everything, I think I’ll buy it again; what gave us pleasure can be repeated. I’ll tell you how it goes.

  • I used it years ago and always thought about buying it again, but I’ve ended up opting for new scents. I don’t understand why people hate it… it smells sweet, feminine, slightly intoxicating, and very sensual. I received more compliments from men than from women. I loved wearing it in spring and summer for parties, with good sillage and longevity, without being cloying. The bottle is comfortable and the price is ridiculously low. I would definitely buy it again; what gave us pleasure can be repeated.

How strange that it has such bad reviews! In English on Fragrantica, people love it. My mum gifted it to me years ago and she thought it smelled of ‘old lady’, but I, at 13, finished the 100ml bottle in two months. It seemed super sensual and perfect for warm, sweet summer afternoons. It has nothing to do with Rihanna’s Rebel or Katy Perry’s Killer Queen. Now I’m undecided: buy it because it’s ridiculously cheap, or stick with more expensive but higher-quality perfumes.

How strange that this perfume looks so bad! On Fragrantica in English it’s praised a lot 😯. My mother gave it to me when I was 13; to her it smelled of ‘lady’, but watch out, it wasn’t an insult, but rather that it was the type of aroma that older people prefer. The funny thing is that I, being a girl, used up the 100ml bottle in two months 😂. To her it was very lady-like and to me I loved it, taking it out of the wardrobe daily. I thought it was super sensual and great for summer afternoons, warm and sweet. It has nothing to do with Rihanna’s Rebel (which smells more so) nor with Katy Perry’s Killer Queen (where patchouli dominates). Anyway, I’m doubting whether to buy it. Here it’s found incredibly cheap, less than a VS… I don’t know what I prefer: having cheap and varied perfumes or fewer but of better quality?

  • It’s rich, soft, and cheerful, with an elegant and sweet touch that I adore. Although it doesn’t last as long and doesn’t go wild on me as I expected, it’s simply delicious and everyone notices when I wear it. Perhaps it’s simple, but it’s worth trying; it’s ideal for daytime.

  • Very vintage, but the excess of amber makes it heavy, and worst of all, it clings to clothes and smells dull.

  • It’s dreadful, very vintage, overly ambered, and worst of all, it lasts for ages with very little application, and its trail is absolutely overpowering.
