  1. A brown, green, and aromatic beast that slaps you in the face. Soon, the leather shines through: dirty, unbroken, animalistic with herbal notes that linger for hours. You can smell the iris, but it’s not powdery; rather, it’s lily root at the base. It reminds me of Francesca’s Lovers Tale, one of my favourites, but with more herbal and aromatic tones of a damp, gloomy forest. In short: woody, herbal, animalic, dirty. Longevity and projection are brutal. For me, this scent is a 10, highly distinctive. Buy blind, don’t even think twice. 💯

  2. A layer of Gucci Guilty Absolute mixed with Lovers Tale: an atomic bomb that lasts until you shower (and if you don’t lather well, it’ll still be there).

One of my favourite ambers because it’s 100% my vibe; it’s smoky and smokier. The amber is very potent; I see it as more masculine than unisex. Not for the faint-hearted. It lasts and projects massively.

  5. I already own the second from this house, the Amber Kiso. It has an enigmatic air from the liquid’s colour to the bottle. It opens restrained, highlighting incense, iris, and leather that gain strength over time. By the hour, everything balances, revealing oakmoss, cedar, and cypress, creating something dark, deep, and mysterious. It’s a charming scent to enjoy alone and boost your vibration. In my opinion, it’s serious, formal, and elegant, ideal for couple’s night-outs; very sensual to my taste. On my skin, it lasted until ten hours. Totally unisex if dressed up. Scent 9/10, Sillage 8/10, Projection 8/10, Longevity 8.5/10

The first DS & Durga perfume I’ve tried and one of the most potent I’ve ever encountered. It’s an atomic explosion of leather and woods, with an opening that smells of freshly waxed wooden floorboards. The star note is maple, boosted by cypress to create a ‘living wood’ sensation, organic and like a freshly cut trunk, even wet. The density comes from incense and a tanned leather reminiscent of Gucci Guilty Absolute but without the uncomfortable or animalistic edge. What surprises me most is that as it evolves, it leaves a trail with a sweet touch, always woody and with a very elegant, enjoyable leather. In summary, it wasn’t love at first sight; it felt heavy and slightly uncomfortable at first. In fact, I had it on a blotter and within a couple of hours it filled my room, lasting for days (I’m not exaggerating). However, those projection halos and its development make it more bearable, pleasant, and unique. I see it as more masculine, for cold weather, and specifically for night. Longevity and projection are brutal. I like it more and more; I recommend trying it and it motivates me to continue with the brand. Rating: 8.5/10
